The 'no glint' Kar98k is making Verdansk unsafe.
When it comes to long-range engagements in Call of Duty: Warzone, the Kar98k Marksman Rifle is virtually unrivalled. The swift yet accurate, controllable yet untameable, silent yet deadly mock sniper allows for a one-shot kill to the head and is often players' go-to weapon for most engagements. Having been a menace in Verdansk for a month, at least the weapon will flash a smile at you with a bright white glint before sending you to the Gulag. Some sort of courtesy is respected.
However, imagine if it didn't.
Imagine how incredibly powerful this gun could be if it had no glint and still wielded a scope that can see further than the naked eye.
Well, thanks to popular YouTuber and Call of Duty content creator James "JGOD", it appears that this is possible since the mid-season update which saw changes to a mass variety of attachments.
Following the update, players started reporting to the content creator that they were being killed by players with the Kar98k without a glint appearing, making them virtually unkillable - especially those Rose skins tucked away in a deep dark corner or bush. Putting it to the test, JGOD tried many different sights on the weapon, and by watching kill cams, he found that the Variable Zoom scope had no visible glint.
No Glint Kar98k Loadout attachments
The no-glint Kar98k uses the following attachments:
- Optic - Variable Zoom
- Muzzle - Monolithic Supressor
- Barrel - Singuard Custom 27.6"
- Stock - FTAC Sport Comb
With one attachment slot left, the recommendation is that either an ammunition change or a rear grip is added; the addition of a laser sight will showcase a small green glint that can be visible from eagle-eyed players, defeating the object of the stealthy assassin-esque build.
Apologies are made in advance, as the sniping meta has just got a whole lot more deadly than ever before.
