Call Of Duty Players Set Warzone Kill Record

Another Call of Duty record has been well and truly trounced as one squad has smashed the Warzone kill record. Despite Warzone's junior status in the world of CoD, and only just celebrating its first birthday, that hasn't stopped players rattling through the records. Just when we think someone has got to the top of what can be done inside the battle royale bloodbath, some young upstart comes along to smash another record.

This time, 21-year-old Aydan "Aydan" Conrad has pulled off the seemingly impossible with a 2v2 $500 kill race. During the match, Conrad's squad of four split into two teams of two and turned on each other to see which duo could earn the most kills. This competitive streak clearly worked because the duos duked it out and scored a truly impressive killstreak and smash the Warzone kill record. Considering Aydan was recently shadowbanned from Warzone, it's great news that he's back and on top form.

What is the Warzone kill record?

Conrad rose to fame as something of a Fortnite phenomenon in 2018, however, it's his move to competitive CoD that's seen his YouTube and Twitch follower count soar. In this latest victory, Aydan wore the controversial Roze skin and parachuted into Verdansk. It was far from a perfect match, with that sweaty skin seeing Aydan kick the bucket a few times. However, alongside ScummN, Newbz, and Almond, they smashed the previous record of 143 kills with a jaw-dropping 162 kills.

Posting on Twitter, Aydan wrote, "New Squad World Record of 162 kills with @ScummN, @Almxnd_ and @TBE_Newbzz in a $500 wager. This will NEVER be broken…". Saying it will never be broken is a bold statement to make, but we've got to admit, we don't think this one will be beaten for a while. While Warzone has been ticking along nicely on its own - helping earn Activision a tasty $3 billion from CoD - it's the content creators who are helping keep the community alive.

What's next for the Warzone kill record?

If you fancy taking on the challenge, bear in mind it's down to more than just skills. Aydan's squad admitted they were lucky with the lobby they were placed in. In response to their win, Aydan said during his stream, "‘That lobby was bronze negative 10. We got blessed with the lobby. It was such a bot lobby". Even if lobby placement was a key part of helping break the Warzone kill record, the team's sharpshooting was obviously a major contributor.

This isn't Aydan's first domination of Warzone. The young American already held the world record title for Solos vs Quads, Trios vs Quads with 150 players. and Trios vs Quads with 200 players. Well, Jordan “HusKerrs” Thomas, Mason “Symfuhny” Lanier, and Turner “Tfue” Tenney had better watch their backs. Aydan was already something of a Warzone superstar and was rightly named one of its biggest players in 2020. Still, his Warzone kill record is going to be hard to beat.
