Leaks Suggest Armour Helmets Are Coming To Warzone
Big changes are afoot when it comes to Call of Duty: Warzone. The Warzone Season 4 release date looks set to see the baby-boomers era arrive with an impact of its namesake, leaving Verdansk in complete shatters.
The 1980s are set to be upon us, with the integration between the battle royale and its Black Ops Cold War companionship being stepped up a notch. With Season 3 bringing the era into a new dawn, Verdansk as we know it is set to be blown up, and a time machine will whisk us back a generation or two, to a more befitting time zone.
With a sense of flying debris from a nuke, it also appears that we may be getting Armour Helmets in Warzone too, according to the latest wave of leaks.
Esteemed leaker "Ninikos" has shared files that are claimed to be pulled from the Warzone database, which includes mentions of Armour Helmets. Coming in three levels, the helmets will reduce the headshot multiplier, and add a tactical mask at the highest level.
- Level 1: Reduces Headshot Damage by 15%
- Level 2: Reduces Headshot Damage by 30%
- Level 3: Reduces Headshot Damage by 30%. Reduces flash and concussion effects
Nanikos also claims that files in the game hint towards contracts being able to be stored in your inventory. Voice lines such as "You can activate a contract from your inventory" (self-explanatory, huh), and "You can drop items in your inventory for your team" have been found by the leaker.
It's not yet clear whether the latter voice lines are part of a limited-time game mode (LTM), or whether they will be added to the wider battle royale game. An LTM with collectable contracts sounds just like something we're accustomed to seeing Activision whip up.
As for the Armour Helmets, this will certainly combat the Task Force barrel on weapons such as the AUG, making it much harder to chain together consecutive kills. Bad news for the Kar98k fandom too, who will have to get used to doubling up on accurate blows to the dome.
