Dignitas Confirm ViolentPanda Exit, Set To Join Up With Oaly And ThO
After a full three years at Dignitas and a World Championship medal, Jos "ViolentPanda" Van Meurs is officially leaving the organisation and is set to pursue ventures in an all-dutch pick-up team.
ViolentPanda follows head coach John "Virge" Willis on the way out of the organisation, as the Season 4 and 5 World Championship winning dynasty have now all left the home they built from the bricks upwards.
The two-time Rocket League champion and long-time stalwart of the esports scene is now set to team with Wolves Esports former starlet Ole "Oaly" Van Doorn, and ex-Guild Esports star Thomas "ThO." Binkhorst.
The news comes as Dignitas have opted to fuel their young superstars with a complimentary mechanical soloist, rather than the pivot-esque ViolentPanda who will go down in Dignitas' history books.
With a solid Dutch connection between the new-formed trio, the team has already seen some early success. The duo of Oaly and ThO competed together for the first time in the recent Intel World Open EMEA finals, where they made the grand finals. Falling to the inevitable French phenomenons over at Renault Vitality, the Dutch duo (alongside Mike "Mikeboy" Verkuijlen) appeared to show early signs of promise.
ViolentPanda had previously expressed concerns about his ongoing hand injury in previous months gone by, which may have contributed towards leaving Dignitas. However, the all-Dutch trio looks set to be one to be reckoned with, especially with VP and ThO's recent successes showing their promise.
As for Dignitas, the duo of Jack "ApparentlyJack" Benton and Joris "Joreuz" Robben look to explore their individual options alongside searching for a suitable third man.
