VALORANT's Next Agent Set To Be A Duelist For “Lurkers”

As the time nears for VALORANT's 14th Agent to land, many have begun to speculate on which type of unique character could positively affect teams and the dynamics of the game. With each Agent offering a different playstyle and excelling in different areas, VALORANT developers have teased that "Agent 14" will be a stealthy assassin to compliment a sneaky "lurker".

Riot Games' Character Producer, John Goscicki, took to a blog post to drop a huge hint towards the next Agent, starting by saying "From the start our goal with Agents is that they have a unique spot within the roster. Whenever a new Agent drops it keeps the game feeling fresh, making you rethink all of your current tactics, and form new ones that build on all the skills you have learned so far.

"Now that the basics are in place, we are going to take more risks with what each Agent introduces to the game, pushing some boundaries, and evolving what is possible in an ability-based tac shooter."

The year will tear open with a Duelist for all you “lurkers” out there, who will keep you on your toes around which angles are truly safe.

Alongside Groscicki's comments, VALORANT players have already uncovered an Easter Egg showing a trail of footsteps left by an invisible figure on the map Icebox.

The spectral figure leaving prints in the snow further reinforces that the new agent will be a master at stealth, and could even boast an ability that will see them turn into a master of disguise.

The new agent is set to join VALORANT with the launch of Episode 2 Act 1, which is currently set to go live in early January 2021.
