VALORANT Mobile Is Reportedly In Development
VALORANT is just a mere one year old. Riot Games' newly born baby is still toothlessly gnawing at its dummy despite early signs of it being a child prodigy. Like a first placed prize at a beauty pageant, many eyes have goggled over the new FPS shooter that is taking gaming into a new generation.
Just before it begins to learn to walk, it appears Riot Games are already planning its next steps, moving at astronomical speed to get one step ahead of the competition.
The title that has dominated 2020 and the early stages of 2021 on PC gaming has yet to land on consoles. However, Riot may look to bypass them altogether, as the latest leak appears to point the finger towards VALORANT Mobile, with an announcement just a month or two away.
According to reports from renowned leaker PlayerIGN, VALORANT Mobile could be getting unveiled in June 2021, as it looks to keep within a stride of both PUBG: New State and Apex Legends.
When Is VALORANT Mobile Coming?
According to PlayerIGN, VALORANT Mobile is to "get an announcement in June/Summer" although it "may get delayed".
The rush to make the June deadline seems to coincide with The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which falls in the same month.
As for when we could possibly see the title in full swing, no further details have been spared.
Will VALORANT Mobile Be A Battle Royle?
The one bombshell dropped by PlayerIGN is that "Mobile VALORANT could even include a battle royale mode". The leaker let slip the detail by saying that his "source" couldn't 100% confirm a battle royale, although it looks probable with the competition in the market.
He added, "With all three games that could be set for June, we could actually see three big battle royale mobile games coming in the same month."
Despite the lack of teasing or official spokesmen from Riot Games confirming this, their willingness to break the boundaries of gaming has rung true in recent times. Just yesterday (May 3), Netflix officially pulled open the curtain on Arcane, the League of Legends animated series.
Who's to guess they're not already cooking a handheld VALORANT game up too.
