Valkyrae Speaks Out After Cancelling Stream For Hospital Visit
Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter is arguably the biggest female content creator around, which means if she suddenly pulls out of a stream, her loyal legion of fans is probably going to notice. While some set their watches to Valkyrae's regular uploads, the fact she just missed one for a hospital visit has her followers concerned.
Although Hofstetter was supposed to stream on June 22, she cancelled her scheduled appointment due to an "appendix scare". Posting on Twitter, Rae wrote, "I gotta cancel stream today! At the hospital for an appendicitis scare but it might be something else". With fans sharing their concern, she added, "I’ll make it up to you guys later!" So what's really going on with Valkyrae?
Why did Valkyrae cancel a stream over a hospital visit?
After six hours of radio silence, Valkyrae updated fans on her backup Twitter account and explained, "Blood drawn, IV, scans, etc. results – for ovarian cysts. Pain is down from a 9/8 sharp pain to a 3/2 bloated/uncomfortable gut. Great… but nerve wracking that the pain couldn’t be pinpointed. They want me back tomorrow… Resting today".
Rae's followers were clearly looking out for her as they sent well-wishes. Among her supporters were 100 Thieves' Leslie "Fuslie" Fu, Jack "CouRage" Dunlop, and Jamie "igumdrop" Horan. Valkyrae hasn't given a proper update since, however, she's been active on social media, suggesting she's doing well.
When will Valkyrae be back to streaming?
For those looking out for Rae's next stream, she's promised to be back with an update on June 24. Hofstetter says she's going to be spending some time with her mum, however, her next stream will reportedly reveal what's going on with her health.
If Valkyrae is well enough to do a stream, we hope she's doing okay. Either way, our thoughts were with her in what was hopefully just a scare and nothing more.
