Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC Teases Fan-Favourite Return

It's hard to believe it's been 14 years since we first jumped into the war between the Assassins and the Templars for Assassin's Creed. As we continue to swing our axe in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, let's look back at how far we've come.

Unlike the usual pump and dump mentality of previous entries, 2020's Valhalla has promised a lengthy roadmap that will continue Eivor's story in a series of DLCs. Alongside the "Wrath of the Druids" and "Siege of Paris" DLCs, we've already heard about a mythical third, while Ubisoft has confirmed we'll still be able to go berserker in 2022. Now, AC leakers claim a fan-favourite face from the past could also rear her head.

Who could return to the Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC?

According to YouTuber J0nathan (via Access the Animus), Kassandra's arc in Assassin's Creed Odyssey isn't the end of the road for the Staff of Hermes. Delving deep into the games, J0nathan apparently uncovered a potential union between Kassandra and Eivor. The hidden questline is triggered in Ravensthorpe, with confirmation Randvi has been spotted on the nightmare-ravaged Skye Island.

Kassandra comes into play with the common theory that she's actually a time-displaced Randvi. It's more than a little suspicious that Randvi and Kassandra look a lot alike because of their hairstyles, however, the devs have stopped short of confirming they're the same person.

Taking everything with a healthy pinch of salt, J0nathan thinks Eivor could journey to Skye Island and find Kassandra there instead of Randvi. The idea is that they'll search for a mythical artifact like a Piece of Eden, but Eivor will initially be wary of Kassandra's intentions.

Will Kassandra really return in an Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC?

Going against the notion that Kassandra is lurking out there in a Skye Island DLC, there's no official word from above about what else in on the way in the rest of 2021 and beyond. Added to this, Kassandra lived 2,400 years before the events of Valhalla, so unless she's gained access to her own Animus, the timelines are way out.

Secondly, just because a seemingly throwaway line of dialogue appears in-game, it doesn't mean it'll be revisited further down the line. Even if Kassandra isn't coming to an Assassin's Creed DLC, there's still a chance Eivor could hunt for Randvi on Skye Island for a horror-themed DLC.

Whatever is going on, there's a lot to look forward to in Valhalla. "The Siege of Paris" comes out on August 12 and is set to put the pieces in place for what comes next. We've already been teased the Gate of Muspelheim and a confrontation with Odin, and now, that there's confirmation of the GTA Online-esque Assassin's Creed Infinity.

It's clear we're only just opening the potential of the Creedverse, and if Kassandra is on her way back, we'll be sure to welcome her with open arms.
