Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) star player Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken has announced that he will be leaving Team Liquid. His new destination is currently unknown. According to a report by Rush B Media, the North American team will fill his vacant spot with Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo.

In the post-match interview of the Grand Finals for the IEM Global Finals 2020, the American player shared with the broadcast that he had just played his last series for Team Liquid, having lost in an 0:3 clean sweep against the Danish organisation Astralis. "That was actually my last game with Team Liquid" Twistzz shared, continuing that this "could be exciting to some people or very bad news for a lot of Team Liquid fans. I wanted them to hear it from me. I've enjoyed a lot of support over the years. The org has been nothing but family to me."

Twistzz had been with Team Liquid since 2017, enjoying incredible success and being part of the reason the team elevated their play in the summer of 2019, becoming the best team in the world through a long streak of victories, culminating in the IEM Grand Slam, a price pool for a team that achieves four consecutive MTG tournament victories. However this year, the team had only won one out of their 15 tournaments.

Reportedly, his replacement is none other than two-time major winner FalleN, the captain of the Brazilian teams that once dominated the CS:GO world in 2016. Throughout struggling two years, FalleN has tried to form another championship roster under the Made in Brazil banner, though especially recently severely dropped down the ranks. In September of this year, FalleN had stepped down from the active roster after his organisation had released long-time teammates Epitacio "TACO" de Melo and Fernando "fer" Alvarenga.
