Back 4 Blood, the first-person co-op zombie shooter from the creators of Left 4 Dead, has released a brand-new campaign trailer - and things are getting spicy.

What Happens In The New Back 4 Blood Campaign Trailer?

In the one minute and 57 seconds trailer, we're taken on a journey through what our heroes have been through since the Devil Worm turned humanity on its head, then ate what remained. There's a sh*t tonne of zombies, but there's also hope that we 'can get back what is ours'. One particular highlight is towards the end of the trailer, where we see a very big boy who, honestly, might actually give me nightmares.

Check it out yourself, but please be aware that there's some naughty language, and some potentially upsetting scenes, so only watch if you're over 18 - okay?

What Is Back 4 Blood About?

In Back 4 Blood, the story takes us to a world where most of humanity has been killed (or worse, infected) by the parasitic Devil Worm. The description reads: "Hardened by unspeakable events and emboldened to fight for the last of humanity, a group of apocalypse veterans called the Cleaners have rallied to take on the infected horrors known as the Ridden and reclaim the world."

In a press release, Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock teased a bit more information about the storyline, saying: "Motivated by their fearless leader known as “Mom,” who is used to bucking authority and has never shirked from a challenge, the Cleaners are a beacon of hope in humanity’s fight against the Devil Worm infested zombies. Mankind stands on the precipice of extinction against the infected hordes that now roam the earth. Only the Cleaners can hold back the tides of the infected and rally those willing to fight and reclaim what was theirs."

Back 4 Blood will be available on October 12, 2021 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One Consoles, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. If you pre-order, you also get the extra treat of the Fort Hope Elite Weapon Skin Pack - nice.
