The holidays are here, and if you have the PS5 (or Mr Claus was generous enough to give you one), we have the perfect list of games that you can enjoy during the holidays on your PlayStation 5. Here is the list of the games which you should play.

MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man. Miles Morales is a new protagonist in the game, a teenager adjusting to his new home while following in the footsteps of his mentor, Peter Parker, as a new Spider-Man. The game shares most of its environment and core gameplay with its predecessor. The graphics of the game is fantastic, and with the new Ray-Tracing technology, it feels like you are actually in the game.

The story of the game is also fantastic, but if you genuinely want to enjoy the storyline, we recommend you to play Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered before. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales also got nominated in the Game Awards 2020. The game was one of the launch games for PlayStation 5 and is one of the highlighted games for the console.

CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS COLD WAR

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is one of the best multiplayer games that you can play with your friends during the holidays. The game recently got the Season One update and got integrated with Warzone which adds even more content to it, including new maps, weapons, modes and more. In addition to this, the Dualshock controller gives different haptic feedback for each weapon, making the gameplay more realistic. Along with this, you can enjoy the campaign mode of Black Ops Cold War with amazing new mechanics that will make your jaw drop for sure.

DEMON'S SOULS

Demon's Souls is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and was originally developed for PlayStation 3 and was later announced for PlayStation 5 during its launch. The entire game is rebuilt from scratch and masterfully enhanced and introduces the horrors of fog-laden, dark fantasy land to a whole new generation of gamers.

In his quest for power, the 12th King of Boletaria, King Allant channelled the ancient Soul Arts, awakening a demon, The Old One, from the dawn of time. With the summoning of The Old One, a colourless fog swept across the land, unleashing nightmarish creatures that are hungry for human souls. As a lone warrior, you must face the hardest of challenges to earn the title ‘Slayer of Demons’ and send The Old One back to its slumber.

ASSASSIN'S CREED VALHALLA

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is another addition to the action role-playing Assassin's Creed series. The game is based on Viking Legend, Eivor, a Viking raider who was raised to be a fearless warrior. The objective is to lead your clan from icy desolation in Norway to a new home amid the lush farmlands of ninth-century England while immersing yourself in activities like hunting and drinking games or engage in traditional Norse competitions like flying through the art of the Viking rap battle.

DEVIL MAY CRY 5 SPECIAL EDITION

Devil May Cry 5 is also an action-adventure game that was released back in 2019 and just like Demon’s Soul; it has been remastered exclusively for PlayStation 5. But unlike Demon’s Soul, the remake of Devil May Cry 5 has been launched with the addition of new features including a new character Vergil, Legendary Dark Knight mode, Ray-tracing support, Turbo and High Frame-Rate mode. So, if you enjoyed the DMC action in the past, then DMC 5 Special Edition is a must-try.

Honourable Mentions

There are a few games which are available on the PlayStation 5 that are not included in the top 5 list but are worth giving a try:

  • GTA V
  • Watch Dogs Legion
  • FIFA 21
  • Dirt 5
