We're back on our boards for the remastered version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and having a blast from the past with some retro gaming challenges. One of the best-loved challenges of Pro Skater has always been the S.K.A.T.E. letter challenge.

Hunting high and low, who doesn't love the buzz of collecting all five letters and spelling "skate"? It's time to hit the streets as we uncover all the skate letter locations, so you don't have to.

There are 11 S.K.A.T.E. letter challenges, with the full list of levels including: Warehouse, School, Mall, Downtown, Downhill Jam, Streets, Hangar, School II, NY City, Venice Beach, and Philadelphia.

While it sounds like a lot - and some of them are more hidden than others - they can be tracked down with a bit of eagle-eyed detective work. If you're ready, here we go.

Tony Hawk Skate Letter Locations
Warehouse Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Warehouse

With Warehouse undoubtedly being the easiest level in Pro Skater 1 + 2, finding the letters should be easier than performing a kickflip.

S - between the kicker ramps on the left

K - high above the back quarter pipe on the right right-hand side above the back quarter pipe

A  - just above the taxi

T  - floating between two ramps in the middle of the Warehouse

E - hiding in the alcove to the left

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 School

School might be out for summer, but five more letters are hiding in plain sight for you to add to your collection.

S - on the railing between the school gym and playground

K - Ollie over two kicker ramps in the main courtyard

A -  floating above the red and white safety barriers near the bridges

T -  on the path between the playground and the pool

E - above a railing in the pool area.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Mall

Even though an abandoned mall might seem like a creepy locale pulled from a horror movie, you should be fine here.

- just before the glass doors you smash to enter the mall

K - floating on a platform to the right of the fountain

A - grind across a metal rung that goes over the pond

T - in the middle of the statue area, before you head into the food court

E - right in the centre of the food court

Downton Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Downtown

We're going downtown here, and the main tip is to look out for those big yellow taxis. If you miss a taxi, you might be missing one of those valuable letters.

S - just in the alley where you start the level

K - pick up speed and grab the letter that's over the fountain in the centre of Downtown

A - to the right of the cinema

T - use the truck near the cinema as a ramp and smash through the glass

E - above a powerline and between two roofs near the start of the level

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Downhill Jam

Just because Downhill Jam suggests you'll constantly be going downward, don't be afraid to turn around and pick up a letter behind you. There's no shame in going backwards to move forward.

S - use the ramp at the start of the level to gain height

K - between two parallel pipes on the way down

A - in a small elevated area to the left of where you found the K

T - up a ramp just after the "KEEP CLEAR" sign

E - in a quarter pipe to the right of E

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Streets

Hit the mean streets for the next crop of five letters and the last level in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1.

S - just above the Hubba Gap after you go down the hill from the starting area

K - heading up the ramp from the starting area and jumping down from balcony to balcony

A - between two quarter pipes in the back of Chinatown

T - (the hardest to find) grind off a large planter in the Chinatown area to enter the building

E - floating above a large pool after you smash through the glass into the large building.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Hangar

If you want to "hang" out in Hangar, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 will send you on a hunt for the S-K-A-T-E letters

S - above the halfpipe in the first area.

K - near the start, on the railing below the billboard

A - floating above the small plane at the start

T - bottom left-hand corner of the second area

E - on the Neversoft sign near the helicopter

School II Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 School II

Giving the original School a bit of a makeover, School II has us staying behind after class and looking for five letters.

S - above the railing in the corridor to the right of the starting point

K - on the ramp outside the library

A - floating above the railing on the stairway from the library to the second area

T - at the very back of the lowest area

E - above the ramp in the lowest area, near the new buildings

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 NY City

Start spreading the news, we've booked a ticket to the Big Apple. One of the most iconic Pro Skater levels ever is just as sprawling as New York City itself.

S - right in front of you at the start of the level

K - in the park to the left of the starting area

A - use the base of the fountain as a ramp to grab the letter floating above it

T -  on the railings near the lake

E - follow the level round to find it above the quarter pipe

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Venice Beach

While you can flex those muscles, there's no time to relax in the sun on Venice Beach. Catch letters, not waves, if you want to complete the challenge.

S - Ollie onto the roof at the start of the level

K - just ahead of the S, on the same roof

A - on a roof to the southern part of the level. Look for the giant graffiti wall

T - use a kicker ramp to the left of the A to hit the next roof

E - on the roof to the right of where you collected the T

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Philadelphia

Finally, it all comes to this. Philadelphia rounds off the hunt for the S-K-A-T-E- letters.

S - hovering over a gap near the fountain

K - on the awning opposite the fountain

A - in the flowerbed, near the fountain

T -  above the railing, near the building with the ramp

E - get onto the raised planter near the T and follow it round to the right

So there you have it. By now, you should be a Pro Skater letter-hunting pro who can show off to all their mates. We wish you all the best ticking this one off your skateboarding bucket list.
