The Witcher 3 Could Be Launching On PS5 And Xbox Series X|S Today

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was one of the defining titles of the last generation of gaming, and for good reason. The fantasy epic was utterly entrancing for fans, whether they be seasoned Witcher vets or total newbies, and has made a name for itself as one of 21st-century gaming’s biggest names. And now, with a Netflix series, board games, books and comics under its belt, it has become so much bigger - but there’s no denying that The Witcher 3 is to thank for all of it.
And, luckily for us, it won’t just be a last-gen title for much longer.
The Witcher’s New-Gen Upgrade Could Be Coming Today

Big news for fantasy fans on the latest generation of consoles - The Witcher 3’s port to the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 could be with us by the end of the day.
The leaked reveal has come from rating board PEGI, as they have changed the information of The Witcher: Wild Hunt to include versions for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, that are due to launch on October 19 - that’s today.
The listing specifically is of the Game of the Year edition of the title, which includes the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine DLC packs, all to be played on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
It’s a very exciting notion, especially as hype for The Witcher’s return is building - and we’re glad to have a good enough excuse to return to The Continent.
When Is The Witcher Season 2 Coming Out?
Though we can’t wait to get back into the game itself, we can’t help but be reminded that we’re already cleared to return to Netflix’s adaptation of the series, with season two on the way and season three already greenlit. The second series is coming on December 17, as announced at WitcherCon earlier this year, so we’ll have two bold returns to the world of The Witcher before the year is out.
We can’t wait to get back into it, in two different ways, no less. The Witcher 3’s arrival on new-gen consoles has been a long time coming, and fans are bound to be excited to give the game another spin.
