The Sims Player Adds The Last Of Us' Abby
While the world of The Sims is a sometimes brutal place - with Sims dying in fires or you taking the steps from the pool until they swim themselves to death - picture a world where they'd beat each other to death with golf clubs. Imagine no more, thanks to one fan creating the ultimate Sims crossover with The Last of Us.
Despite The Sims franchise being 21 years old, developer Maxis continues to come up with new tweaks that keep the name fresh. Although you've been able to play everything from a wizard to a TV star, time traveller to Medieval knight, the franchise has stopped short of letting you play an unhinged killer in an apocalypse. All that's about to change.
What does Abby look like in The Sims?
Posting on Reddit, u/modnar109 shared their build of The Last of Us Part II's Abby Anderson. Joining the mould-ravaged world of The Last of Us for 2020's sequel, Abby was the primary antagonist of the game and became the lead protagonist (and playable character) in the second half. Safe to say, Abby got a bit of a lukewarm reception - which could have something to do with THAT golf club scene.
Teeing off in The Sims, the OP captured Abby's likeness almost perfectly. While many loved the Abby build, others said she wasn't beefy enough. In Part II, Abby is remembered for her snarl and bulging muscles.
Discussing Sims Abby, one fan wrote, "The fact that I'm attracted to her p*sses me off". Others said, "Omg I love this so much how cuteee", "Now give her weights and a heavy career", and "how tf did you get the nose so perfect???"

I wish I could make her more jacked but The Sims 4 has a max slider adjustment for women's body parts, of which Abby has the maximum here (I agree, ITS NOT ENOUGH 😠) I'm gonna be tweaking her more and finding a better body preset. We need our queen beefed tf up!!"
Will Abby return to The Last of Us?
Despite Abby's divisive debut, feelings toward her have slowly mellowed. Love her or hate her, her role in The Last of Us Part II will go down in history. Only recently, Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann defended the narrative decisions made in the game and thanked supportive fans for their love.
Even though The Last of Us Part 3 is yet to be given the green light, Druckman confirmed there is a story there. Some think we could shift focus of the transgender character of Lev, but just like Ellie and Joel returned for Part II before handing over the reins to Abby, we can't see her having some part to play in a mythical threequel.
Elsewhere, could Abby appear in HBO's The Last of Us series? The first series is due out next year and is thought to chart the events of the original game. Assuming the show is a hit and gets a multi-season order, it's easy to imagine some young star joining Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal as Ellie and Joel. In the meantime, enjoy terrorising the neighbourhood as Abby in The Sims.
