The Impossible Game 2 Is Finally On The Way
The Xbox 360 Arcade was something of pure magic. Something about the likes of Doritos Crash Course, The Fancy Pants Adventures, and Castle Crashers had a remarkable charm that was unrivalled at the time. The games weren’t big enough to warrant a huge price tag, but they were just small and often silly enough to be endless fun to goof off with alongside your pals on Xbox Live.
One of those games that wrought the brains of gamers everywhere, though, was The Impossible Game. The simple title that gained its iconography from simplistic shapes and a pounding EDM soundtrack, the rhythm game was a scourge on evenings everywhere - standing as one of the most frustrating games on the market.
And now, it looks like it’s coming back to try it all over again.
The Impossible Game 2 Has Been Announced
Oh no, Please, no more. We can’t take it. A sequel to The Impossible Game is now officially coming soon after more than ten years of dormancy from the series.
A trailer for the sequel has arrived, and it looks exactly as it once did back in 2009, though with a significant graphical boost and some intriguing new features set to throw off your run and force you to start all over again.
The Impossible Game 2 has maintained its simple charm with colourful shapes and easy movement, and it looks like it’s just as horribly frustrating as the first game.
This is exciting news - but there’s a catch.
The Impossible Game 2 Is A Mobile Exclusive
As it turns out, The Impossible Game 2 is bypassing console and PC, meaning it's going straight to iOS and Android devices instead.
The first game found a home on mobile, and it’s looking like the sequel is nestling in as there’s no word on the title coming to console at all right now. This might be a blessing, as it’ll save us some broken controllers, but we’re not sure broken iPhones are a fair trade-off.
Despite the fact we’ll be playing it on mobile, returning to The Impossible Game will be a blast of nostalgia we’re not likely to miss. Fingers crossed that now we’re a little more grown-up, we don’t get as angry this time around.
