The Houston Outlaws have announced the re-signing of their star DPS player Dante "Danteh" Cruz. Danteh is currently only one of two players confirmed to be part of the next season's roster, with only João Pedro “Hydration” Goes Telles currently under an existing contract.

The co-head coaches Harsha Bandi and Jae "Junkbuck" Choi both have experience with the player, having coached him during their shared time at the San Francisco Shock, as well as for Team USA during the 2019 World Cup; which the three of them managed to win.

Throughout the third season of the Overwatch League, Danteh had been one of the shining talents on an otherwise underwhelming roster that only finished in 16th place during the regular season, and fell short in the first round of season playoffs, being upset by the Boston Uprising. Especially on Tracer, Danteh had repeatedly shown that he could hang with the best in the League.

According to newly signed General Manager Matt "coolmatt" Iorio, the team is going to focus on European and North American players coming into the 2021 season. The team will have to become active on the transfer market relatively soon, with the minimum requirement of the League for seven players come mid-January approaching.
