Dead By Daylight has managed to sweep the world of the multiplayer horror genre, by being pretty much all that fans have ever wanted from the genre.

It might seem like hyperbole, but let's be honest - banding together with your friends to escape danger, in pursuit from classic horror icons from Halloween, Hellraiser, and even Silent Hill? It's perfect, to tell the truth, and the option to even play as these icons only sweetens the pot.

And it looks like others have taken hints from this - most notably, the world of anime games. Because one franchise is taking inspiration from the horror banger to create its own title - and it's without its headlining character.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers Gets New Trailer And Release Date

The intriguing new game set in the Dragon Ball universe has just gotten a fresh trailer, as well as a new release date in tow, and it shows off one of the baddies you'll be doing your best to avoid.

The game sees some of the more powerless characters from the anime series act as Survivors, darting around the map for items and vehicles in order to make an escape from the Raider. The Raider, on the flip-side, as a super-powerful invader that could turn you into a pulp in a second. So the stakes are pretty high.

The new trailer shows off the iconic franchise character Frieza debut as a Raider, as well as sharing a further look at the gameplay revealed in the first trailer.

A lot of fans have been quick to point that the formula on show here is exactly like that of Dead by Daylight - and it seems like they're pretty bang on, to be honest.

When Is Dragon Ball: The Breakers Coming Out?

According to this new trailer, Dragon Ball: The Breakers is now set to launch on October 14 this year, and will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

The game will also be hosting network tests over August 5 & 6, with sign-ups open from now until August 1.

The game looks exciting, and it's certainly a new genre for the Dragon Ball world to tackle. If it can nail the flair of Dead By Daylight, then we could be in for a winner here.
