Team Liquid has announced that head coach Joshua "Jatt" Leesman is leaving - and jungler Lucas "Santorin" Larsen is taking a break to rest.

The League of Legends team released a statement on Twitter, saying: "Jatt has resigned his position as head coach and departed Team Liquid, effective immediately. In his place, Kold has been promoted to interim head coach, with H4Defender serving as assistant coach for LCS.

"When Jatt joined us last year, we were coming off a challenging Spring Split. His guidance immediately turned us around - we finished Summer 15-3 (our best regular season record ever), went to Worlds, won the inaugural Lock In tournament and came within one Nexus of going to MSI 2021. We cannot thank Jatt enough for his work and dedication to Team Liquid, and wish him the best of luck going forward."

They then added: "Separately, Santorin continues to experience debilitating symptoms, which may be related to health issues he's dealt with in the past. Santorin has decided to take some time away from competing to properly rest and visit specialists to determine the cause of these issues, to prevent them from potentially worsening. We support Santorin in his decision and will continue to provide the medical resources we can to help diagnose and treat his symptoms. We'll continue monitoring Santorin's health condition until he and his doctor are comfortable with him returning to play. Armao will be playing in the LCS for at least this weekend, and he has our full support.

"Alphari remains on a personal break until June 27, and Jenkins will continue to start in the LCS until further notice - we are extremely proud of his standout play and commitment to the team amid challenging circumstances."

The news was also shared in a press conference with Steve Arhancet and General Manager, Dodo.
