Get ready to soak up all the fun of Summer on your personal island paradise in the first Summer update of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

After all the fun of planning Reese and Cyrus’ wedding and reception photo shoots (for nuptial-themed rewards) and catching man-eating sharks in the June update, ACNH fans can rejoice yet again at all the new features coming to the beloved Nintendo Switch game on July 3.

It’s time to go swimming (and diving)!

Dive for sea creatures in this upcoming feature, with new ocean-dwelling animals to discover (and donate to Museum Curator Blathers) including Sea Stars, Sea Anemones and Scallops.

Sea creatures aren’t the only thing you’ll find when swimming in the blue, meet Pascal, a delightful red and yellow Sea Otter. Pascal will pop up on your deep-sea adventures, and give you special DIY recipe rewards for any creatures you find on your dive.

ACNH is also allowing you to live your Ariel fantasy, as these Summer DIYs include beautiful blue and pink mermaid-themed furniture - and clothing!

Gulliver is back, and it looks like the sea-faring seagull Captain needs your assistance collecting items to help him get back to his ship and crewmates AGAIN (after hitting the Coconut Juice too hard).

No doubt the brand-new special Souvenir Item rewards you receive from Gulliver in the mail will be awesome.

The summer-themed update is Northern Hemisphere-centric, but as Nintendo promises another update in August, we can’t wait to see what they have in store for the Southern Hemisphere players.

Grab your wetsuit and dive (literally) into the new ACNH summer update on July 3.
