There're some things in life that you don’t realise you need until they’re staring you in the face. Whether that be a burger with a doughnut for a bun (yes this exists, you’re welcome), or even something that’s popped up on the personalised ads while you’re surfing the web, when you need something - you need it.

That’s probably how you’ll feel with this latest bit of news - Steam has introduced a dedicated ‘Adult Only’ category. Yup, whether you want to look for that kind of stuff specifically, or you’d rather avoid it completely, it’s now all tied up in a neat little package.

Feel free to have a browse yourself, but a particular highlight is a parody version of Among Us called Among Ass

The category is featured on Valve’s Steam Labs. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, it’s a place where experimental Steam features are hosted so that the company can get some real feedback from users.

In their developer blog regarding the new categories, Valve said: "It’s not enough to simply offer good games on Steam—we also need to make sure they’re easy to discover. And to do that, we need to organise them in ways that make sense without being overwhelming. The first step in building such a system is to present meaningful entry points which reflect the various ways people typically want to browse a store full of games,

"This experiment exposes entry points modelled after the three chief ways players tend to browse Steam—by genre, by theme, and by player modes. These player motivations can be organised and expressed using our existing tags and metadata,

"Categories grouped under the Genres and Themes entry points are defined by tags, whereas categories grouped under Player Modes are defined by metadata provided directly by the developer."

Have fun searching!
