How Much Will Star Wars: Squadrons Cost?
Star Wars: Squadrons is set to launch on October 2 and with the proximity to next-gen console releases and the impending rise of the price point of AAA titles and games in general, the interested fan in the space combat shooter might rightfully wonder if the price has already been jacked up. Furthermore, can you pre-order the game, and could the game be part of the EA-Access subscription to save a couple of coins?
How much will star wars squadrons cost?
The title will be available cross-platform and so the exact pricepoint is a little bit tricky depending on a couple of factors.
For the European market, the price for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One are all set around £34.99 (€39.99) with Amazon UK offering the PS4 version for only £29.99. Additionally, discounts may apply for various subscription services (we’ll get to some of them later), so looking around for the best deal is definitely advised. Digitally, the game is available on Steam, Origin, the Epic store, and the respective console stores too, so you’re likely to find the game on your favourite distribution platform.
Star Wars Squadrons Pre-order
A pre-order version is available, though it’s unclear how much longer it will be accessible. It comes with a couple of skins for both your starfighter as well as your character. The skins bundled with the pre-order are as follows:
- New Republic Var-Shaa Hunter X Wing skin
- Imperial Var-Shaa Survivor TIE interceptor skin
- New Republic Recruit Flight Suit
- Imperial Ace Flight Suit
- New Republic Recruit Starfighter Skins
- Imperial Ace Starfighter Skins
- New Republic Recruit Decal
- Imperial Ace Decal
Will Star Wars Squadrons be on EA Access?
Well, sort of. Subscribers to EA Access will enjoy ten hours of free playtime to get a taste for the game and see if they would like to purchase it. If you choose to buy the game, EA Access will also grant you a 10% discount on your purchase. By the way, the same applies to Origin Access Basic subscribers.
However, more interesting is the deal for the Origin Access Premier subscribers, who will be able to play the game with all the benefits of the basic version as long as they are subscribed. Doing the maths on how long you’re likely to play the game, you may just make a better deal by signing up for a membership for the duration of your enjoyment instead of fronting the cost. Of course, the subscription comes with more benefits than just Star Wars: Squadrons, too.
We hope you’ll find the perfect deal for you and get to jump into your TIE fighter or X-Wing as soon as possible.
