Warning: Major spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 2 finale

As the credits roll on another season on Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian, the hit series continues its Emperor Palpatine-inspired invasion into pop culture. While we're sure you've all seen the Baby Yoda (sorry, Grogu) memes, Season 2 really upped the ante in expanding that galaxy far, far away. EA Games' Star Wars Battlefront II has also got in on the action by homaging the finale. There were some big names dropping by for a glass of Moof juice in Season 2, with the previously announced Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett being major additions to the cast.

December 18's "Chapter 16: The Rescue" was a typically action-packed affair that saw Boba accompany the titular Mando on his mission to rescue Grogu with a Suicide Squad of allies. However, the big shocker came with some tense music, the arrival of an X-Wing, and the swoosh of a green lightsaber. That's right, Luke Skywalker was back in action. Now, a Star Wars Battlefront II mod has added both Boba and Luke to the fray to spoil The Mandalorian's big twist.

How does the Star Wars Battlefront mod ruin The Mandalorian finale?

Battlefront II modders have been showing off their renditions of a Mando-themed Boba and Luke. On December 19, Nexus Mods user dunno123 shared their Battlefront II mod that spoiled Luke's surprise return just one day after a de-aged Mark Hamill reprised his role in live-action. Alongside this, modder SiRME24 added Temuera Morrison's more grizzled Boba Fett to the battlefield, alongside another rendition of the character in an updated version of his iconic armour.

For those who weren't able to watch the show immediately and tried to avoid the internet for fear of spoilers, the unlikely bombshell came from within Battlefront II. As well as spoiling Luke's cameo, dunno123's mod also included the dramatic score that came when the Jedi boarded Moff Gideon's cruiser and defeated the villain's squad of Death Troopers. The Master Skywalker skin is a beauty to behold and available to download now.

SiRME24's Boba Fett Overhaul skins are also a shiny addition to Battlefront II and sure to look good as you dive into action on Jakku, Endor, the Death Star II, or any of the other multiplayer maps. Sadly, we'll never get official Mandalorian skins in the game after EA decided to stop adding updates to Battlefront II earlier this year.

Despite EA moving away from the divisive 2017 title, the Battlefront II modding community is still alive and well. Following the success of The Mandalorian, someone previously modded the official BB-8 skin to make Baby Yoda playable. The Star Wars community is huge in video games. Only recently, Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian was added to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, while modders have also stuck the stoic tin man in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Now that you know where to find the new Luke and Boba Fett skins, why not honour one of the biggest TV events of the year and play as them both in Star Wars Battlefront? Well, it will tide us over until The Mandalorian Season 3 eventually drops in 2021.
