Star Wars Battlefront 2 Is Finally Playable Again On PC After Months Of Hacks
After a disappointing launch filled with microtransactions and balance issues, 2017's Star Wars Battlefront 2 has evolved into a stellar game with a vibrant community and active developer support. Across all platforms, players get to live out their dreams of a Jedi or Sith lord, fighting in the forests of Endor, the snow-capped hills of Hoth, and the spacious streets of Nab.
Unfortunately, for the last few months, the game has been near-unplayable on PC thanks to hackers. The main EA servers have been plagued with a "1hp hack" which prevents any players from actually dying, so the result is that the attackers will win almost every game by default. According to one Reddit comment from user 'paperclipestate', the hackers claim fixing the problem would be an easy job for EA, but despite acknowledging the rampant hacking, the studio is yet to do anything about it.
How To Fix The Star Wars Battlefront 2 1HP Hack
So how do you go about making the game playable on PC again? Unfortunately, the fix isn't for the main EA servers, because it instead comes in the form of Kyber custom servers.
What this means is that players can create their own servers, with their own rules, mods, and settings. Got an idea for a fun custom game mode? A custom server is what you need. Want to host a community event or private match for your friends? Enter custom servers to come to the rescue.
Fixing the 1HP hack is simply the cherry on top. We'd have to hope that the main EA servers for Battlefront 2 will eventually be fixed by EA, but until that moment, you'll need to rely on custom servers to get your Star Wars Battlefront 2 fix on PC.
In other Star Wars news, unfortunately, it seems like Battlefront 3 got canned thanks to the studio prioritising Battlefield. However, we do have everything you need to know about the Star Wars Eclipse release date, trailers, gameplay, and more.
