League Of Legends Champion Sona Receives New Voice Quips And A Legendary Skin
Just ahead of her 10th birthday in League of Legends, Sona is set to have ten new voice lines added to her character, as well as a new legendary skin.
First coming to the game on September 21, 2010, Sona Buvelle has become a relic in the League of Legends lore, which has seemingly moved on and left her behind. Her voice quips often refer to the phrase 'summoner' - which was part of the old lore, and some of her current quips are merely just music from the etwahl - Lady Sona's signature instrument. Her current lines consist of jokes and taunts which have been somewhat archived over the ten years of her existence. While her play-style still remains strong, players often seek other rangers with more up-to-date quips and skins to show off their in-game flair.
Well, with her anniversary approaching and the PsyOps cosmetic line in the frameworks, the Maven on the Strings is set for a glow up.
Riot Games has revealed that they intend to give Sona more than ten new voice lines, including:
- Everything in harmony.
- Oh, is the Grand General a fan?
- The world is cruel. Until that changes, I'll never stop playing.
- Keep your voice down!
- Pick up the pace!
- Step lively!
- Someone's feeling it.
- The temple changes and so do we.
The full list has yet to be revealed, however these lines are just a taste of what will be replacing the old quips - spicing Sona up and bringing her into the current League of Legends lore. The new skin has also yet to be fully revealed, however, Twitter user Mermom has reportedly leaked in-game images of how she will look, and fans definitely have a lot in-store.
Sona's revamp will come as a welcome feature in the next patch, with the enchanter now being a much more current character, increasing her likeability.

The date for the PsyOps cosmetic line and the latest patch has yet to be revealed, however, it will likely coincide with the Demacian Virtuoso's birthday in September.
