Sneaky Halo Infinite Easter Egg Honours Sesame Street
Sunny Day, sweepin' the clouds away, on my way to where the air is sweet. Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Zeta Halo? As 343 Industries continues to rule the roost of the FPS market, Halo Infinite is the game everyone is playing. Now, players have discovered a clever Halo Infinite Easter egg that honours Sesame Street.
Since 1969, those adorable muppets (not quite a mop, not quite a puppet) have been teaching us how to count, the letters of the alphabet, and general morals on how to be a good member of society. The Halo franchise is literally in a whole different world, but that hasn't stopped the two coming together in a big way.
Where Is The Sesame Street Halo Infinite Easter Egg?
The surprise of the Halo Infinite multiplayer launch has given us plenty to do ahead of the Campaign's launch on December 8, with players combing through every inch of the maps to see what's new in the new-gen Halo. Posting on YouTube, xGarbett showed off the Sesame Street Halo Infinite Easter egg on the multiplayer Streets map.
If you head down a dark a dingy alleyway, you might come across a pair of bins. Reading the title, it doesn't take a genius to realise a certain grouchy resident of Sesame Street has set up shop on Zeta Halo. If you head to the bin with the open lid, using the in-game ping system tags it as "Oscar's House". Oscar the Grouch himself isn't actually there, so we guess he's out blasting Brutes to help Master Chief's cause.
Other players were impressed with the Oscar the Grouch Easter egg. One fan said, "'This is Oscar’s house.' Proceeds to teabag Oscar’s house," while another joked, "Fun fact the trash can next to Oscar’s House is actually a Call of Duty Vanguard Easter egg." xGarbett has a whole video that breaks down the other Halo Infinite Easter eggs.
Are There More Easter Eggs In Halo Infinite?
As with any modern game, Halo Infinite is packed with Easter eggs and pop culture references. We recently reported how the legendary Craig the Brute has found a new lease of life (and a new career). With Brutes being redesigned in Halo Infinite, we were worried Craig has been killed off. Thankfully, eagle-eyed players spotted that Crag is alive and well - even finding his own rock career.
This apparently isn't the only nod to the brave Brute though. Speaking to Polygon, Narrative Director Paul Crocker explained, "There are Craig Easter eggs in the game. That’s a definite thing some of our art team really embraced as our own." We'll have to wait and see what other Halo Infinite Easter eggs are hiding out when the main game launches.
Are we destined to find a Brute that looks like Big Bird, or what about two Spartans living together like Bert and Ernie? Either way, now you know where to find the game's Sesame Street Easter egg.
