Skyrim Wedding Ruined By Wedding-Crashing Frost Dragon
There are wedding bells ringing in Tamriel, and while weddings are a day-to-day occasion in Skyrim, one player has been baffled by an unwanted guest that flew down from colder climes to send their regards.
Once you've bested Alduin and saved the realm, there are sure to be questions about what to do next. Thankfully, Skyrim is packed with hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of quests to undertake and NPCs to save. After all that, it might be time to settle down and think about making an honest life for the Dragonborn. Weddings are a big deal in Skyrim, but what if a dragon becomes the ultimate wedding crasher?
What Is The Skyrim Frost Dragon Glitch?
Posting on Reddit, u/escapegoat19 was left floored by a Skyrim glitch that let a frost dragon walk down the aisle. It's unclear whether this is a hostile invasion of someone's nuptials or not, but either way, we wouldn't recommend getting too close. In the scene, the frost dragon actually congratulates the Dragonborn on their wedded bliss, so we guess it came here in peace.
Other players were equally confused about how/why the usually frosty foe popped by - and shared their thoughts. One wrote, "This is the most unexpected random skyrim sh*t masterpiece I seen this year! My stomach hurts after all the laughter!"
Another added, "Ya know. I’m not a game developer, but I feel like you should be able to code something that says 'no, dragons cannot attend weddings.' But they chose not to. And I am very thankful that they did lmao," while a third concluded, "I believe it, I’ve seen this kind of thing on this sub before. When the system that tracks characters’ affection gets its wires crossed, anybody can show up to a wedding." If anyone can turn up at weddings, where are all the giants at?
Are There More Glitches In Skyrim?
Despite the recent update for the Skyrim Anniversary Edition, there is a myriad of bugs and glitches running rife. To be honest, most of us have got used to them over the past decade. Many would argue that Skyrim wouldn't be Skyrim without its various glitches.
Only recently, we covered the bizarre glitch that added a new headless enemy to the mix, while sticking with dragons, someone also found a giant riding the back of a dragon. Maybe they were both off to the wedding?
Speaking of weddings, one happy Dragonborn also had their big day ruined when a Torture Victim NPC attended. Although they were seemingly miles away from their usual haunt of Riften, they still managed to attend the wedding.
Basically, Skyrim is more broken than ever. But is that a bad thing? The "broken" state of the beloved Elder Scrolls game has helped keep it alive for the past 10 years, with players rightly championing Bethesda to keep some of the most famous glitches for when it eventually releases The Elder Scrolls 6.
