Get your Drainblood Battleaxe and Daedric Armour ready because one modder is bringing Dark Souls to the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Sharing the news via his Twitter page on August 30th, Heavy Burns shared a quick teaser trailer of his upcoming project to crossover the two games using 500 mods.

How is Dark Souls coming to Skyrim?

Heavy Burns posted on YouTube over a year ago, where he transformed the world of Fallout 4 into: "The ultimate horror game, according to scientific research." However, it was his first attempt to bring mods from Dark Souls into Skyrim that things started to gain momentum. The teaser trailer on Twitter has proven that he will once again return the kingdom of Lordran to Tamriel.

He has continued to produce a series of fantastic videos in which he uses an incredible collection of mods to create crossovers with some classic fantasy worlds. During the past year, his channel has had more than six million views on YouTube as well as gaining 73,000 subscribers over the past year.

Although the YouTuber has posted about his experiments with the Fallout 4 mods, it is his innovative creations in Skyrim which have proven the most popular. Using mods, Heavy Burns has been able to design crossovers with The Lord Of The Rings and Game Of Thrones.

When can I see Dark Souls in Skyrim?

No news as to when precisely the new video will be released. Although, any newcomers to Heavy Burns' channel, with a particular passion for Skyrim, would find a variety of videos they can watch for the meantime.

It'll be an interesting combination of the two games. Although both Skyrim and Dark Souls are similarly based in fantasy worlds, the design and style of the games are very different. However, the passion and dedication of Skyrim's modding community since the game was released 10 years ago has produced some bizarre but, nonetheless, fantastic results.

One of the most popular mods allows players to use Star Wars mods to transform a land of forests, magic, and dragons to one of starfighters, lightsabres and Darth Vader. Our personal favourite is the one that (finally) lets you pet dogs.

Popular modders often gain the attention of the powers above, with one Fallout: London modder just being hired by Bethesda, so watch this space. For now, watch the skies Dark Souls and Skyrim fans because Heavy Burns is soon to bring an epic crossover.
