Simp Drops A Colossal 80 Kills Against Pros And Streamers In Vanguard Beta
As the Black Ops Cold War era begins to fade out of the memory of Call of Duty fanatics, the upcoming Vanguard title is racking up interest by the day.
With Call of Duty: Vanguard on the horizon, PlayStation players recently showcased an early glimpse of the Alpha test run, before a range of professional players and content creators were given an early crack at the Beta.
Within the beta, some of CoD's greatest talents tested a variety of maps and game modes, including a 24v24 "patrol" game mode on the frosted Russian landscape in Stalingrad.
As the pros looked to get an understanding of the maps and the new unpolished engine, one player, in particular, looked as if he was a seasoned veteran on the game.
Simp Breaks Call of Duty Vanguard Beta With 82 Kills In A Single Match
Chris "Simp" Lehr, a reigning Call of Duty League world champion with Atlanta FaZe, hit the ground running in the Vanguard Beta, dropping a colossal 82 kills against his opponents before the game crashed.
Playing against content creators such as Team Summertime trio of Davis "hitchariide" Edwards, Blake "OpTic Blake" Cissel, and Jorge Estrada, and former professionals like Richard "Ricky" Stacy and Dylan "Theory" McGee, Simp chopped them down in a convincing fashion, notching up nearly double the kills of anyone else in the lobby.
The likes of Dylan "Envoy" Hannon and streamer "TheXclusiveAce" were on Simp's team in the beta, but not even the ex-OpTic Gaming SMG slayer could keep up with Simp's pace.
Having called in multiple waves of dog attacks and killstreaks on his opponents, Simp was on course to break through to over 100 kills, although the beta devs decided that it felt sorry for TST and co., crashing the game and ending the terror.
As the Vanguard Beta has shown, the STG-44 appears to be the leading gun for the WWII title, much to the pleasure of long-time Call of Duty fans - although a ten-digit large gunsmith allows for many variations.
With the STG in hand, it could be a long year for the pros who need to face Simp.
