Shroud Thinks Streamers Inviting Him To Play VALORANT 'Is Weird'
One of the worlds biggest streamers, Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek, made his return to Twitch last week, after moving to Mixer in October 2019. After the announcement that Mixer will be shutting down to partner with Facebook Gaming, Shroud declined the offer to join the new platform and made a huge comeback on Twitch. On his return, he peaked at 516,000 concurrent viewers.
Since then, he has had a massive array of support, and competitive players and huge streamers alike have been inviting Shroud to team up on VALORANT, which he has called a "little weird".
After being invited by former Cloud9 Counter Strike: Global Offensive player Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik, Shroud claimed:
"I'm just saying, it's a little weird that everyone's asking me to play, but when I was on that platform that shall not be named I didn't get much attention.
"I've been playing this game for how f*****g long? Now you want to play with me? Whatever dude."
Subroza, now a member of Team SoloMid, was a member of Cloud9 after Shroud retired from CS:GO to focus on several other games and his streaming career. The TSM VALORANT star is seemingly one of many that had failed to recognise Shroud during his time on Mixer, which has rubbed up the wrong way from the monstrous streamer.
Shroud made his comeback to Twitch mainly playing VALORANT, although he has ruled out ever going professional again. He has also dabbled on Call of Duty: Warzone where the streamer continued to rack north of 40,000 concurrent viewers to his stream.
Whether we will see Shroud team up with popular streamers in the future is yet to be known. He has a range of games in which he excels in, dabbling in battle royales like Fortnite and Apex Legends and tactical shooters such as Rainbow Six Siege, meaning he has scope to pair with any huge names across a variety of titles should he choose too. However, now he's back on Twitch, we're set to see his name popping up frequently as he continues to push the boundaries of streaming.
