Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek is about as big as they come in the streaming community, and alongside Felix "xQc" Lengyel, Imane "Pokimane" Anys, and Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, sits comfortably at the top of the content creator charts. Now, Shroud has given VALORANT some advice about what he wants to see in Episode 2.

Since its release in June 2020, VALORANT has muscled into the tightly fought first-person shooter genre and given the likes of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) a run for its money.

As CS:GO continues to haemorrhage players to VALORANT, Shroud has an idea for how Riot Games can steal more than just Valve's pro players.

Why does Shroud want a CS:GO map in VALORANT

Considering Shroud largely made his name in CS:GO, he knows the esports giant better than most. Looking ahead at VALORANT's future, Shroud answered a fan question on which CS:GO map(s) he'd like to see in VALORANT. Not missing a beat, Shroud answered, "Mirage. That’d be cool. I feel like Mirage was a good map, and I feel like it’d work in the game. It’s like you could copy-paste it. It’d probably work, great".

Explaining how things could work, Shroud continued, "Dude imagine you like jump out windows and jet for your ct side... I more so envision just spamming halls with an Odin. Yeah, I guess that would work too". Sadly, the chances of seeing Mirage make the leap to VALORANT are pretty slim.

Could we see CS:GO maps in VALORANT?

There are several problems with imaging CS:GO maps in VALORANT. Namely, both titles are rivals from rival games. That would be a bit like Raven Software randomly putting Pleasant Park from Fortnite inside Call of Duty: Warzone

However, there is one way we could eventually see Mirage in VALORANT. One idea that's already been discussed is the possibility of Riot Games adding a map builder to VALORANT. Similar to Fortnite's Creative, it would open up a whole world of opportunities where Shroud and the rest of us could build whatever we want. Mirage, Train, Dust II - you name it.

As the time goes on, it looks like Shroud is continuing his stay of abstinence from CS:GO. In the meantime, he's more than happy continuing his pro VALORANT status, but it's no surprise he's struggling to leave his fond days of Mirage behind him.
