Actor Asa Butterfield, known for his roles in Sex Education, Ender's Game, Slaughterhouse Rulez, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and more has signed with esports organisation Team Liquid. The 23-year-old Brit shared that he has been a Team Liquid fan for a long time watching Blizzard Entertainment's RTS game Starcraft 2 back in the day and is therefore excited to join the team. It's currently not known in which capacity he will be working with Liquid.

Butterfield stars the main character Otis Milburn in the Netflix comedy-drama television series Sex Education, playing an insecure teenager whose mother is a sex therapist. As the need arises at his school, he becomes the unofficial student's counsellor for their sexual problems. The show is generally well-received by critics and has been confirmed for a third season by Netflix.

Team Liquid is a multi-gaming organisation with teams in League of Legends, VALORANT, CS:GO, DotA, and more. Initially, a community website for all things Starcraft: Broodwar, Team Liquid eventually became an esports organisation signing their first professional players in Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. Merging with Team Curse in 2015, Team Liquid quickly became one of the premier esports organisations.
