Sea Of Thieves Goes Live With Borderlands Crossover
Plundering and looting chaos may well have become its own genre over the last few years. The arrival of Sea of Thieves not only gave Microsoft a new flagship title (there’s probably a pirate-flagship joke in there somewhere. Go nuts), but gave way for a new game to dominate the co-op online game space.
Borderlands mastered its craft too, and now as Valheim and New World are on their way, it looks like players messing around in an online hub is making a grand comeback. As proof that the swashbuckling adventurer isn’t going anywhere just yet, a new crossover event has just started in collaboration with another co-op favourite title.
Sea Of Thieves And Borderlands Crossover Is Now Live
The crossover event that tethers Sea Of Thieves and Borderlands has now officially kicked off. The Making Mayhem Event sailed into view last night and is encouraging players to cause some chaos on their traversal across the sea.
The arrival of the event has been heralded by the bright yellow and red ship branded with the Borderlands logo, serving as a prize for those who can polish off the challenge.
Players can get their hands on the vehicle by completing the Minor Mayhem challenges or the Major Mayhem challenges to make friends with the Bilge Rats.
When Does The Making Mayhem Event End?
This new event has served as a great point for fans to jump back into the game, but it is of course, only around for a short period of time. Following in the footsteps of a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover with Captain Jack Sparrow, it proves Sea of Thieves isn't short of ideas.
The Sea of Thieves and Borderlands crossover will come to an end on September 7, so you’ve got just under two weeks to get all of the challenges under your belt before they’re gone forever.
The event has brought about a beloved crossover for fans of multiplayer co-op games, and is a great opportunity to give the game another go if you’ve been away for a minute. Have fun, me hearties, and we’ll see you on the open ocean.
