San Francisco Shock Celebrate Their Season 2 OWL Title With Championship Rings
The San Francisco Shock have rewarded themselves for their achievements during the second season of the Overwatch League. In good American sports league fashion, the Shock got themselves enormous championship rings with the names of each player displayed on the sides of the piece. Also incorporated were their notoriously favourite score-line 4-0 and their map record 92-16 that they had achieved during their iconic run for the trophy. Players and staff who had been part of the championship-winning run but have since parted ways with the Shock such as season 2 MVP Jay "Sinatraa" Won will also be receiving a ring.
During the second season of the Overwatch League, the San Francisco Shock had won a stage playoff final before moving into the season playoffs. Once there, they dropped to the lower bracket in a nailbiter of a match against the Atlanta Reign. After losing to the Atlantans, the Shock were ignited, clean sweeping the rest of their opposition including the finals without dropping a single map. The front displays the San Francisco Shock logo with the words "Overwatch Champions" engraved on the rim.
In the third season of the Overwatch League, the San Francisco Shock are looking to defend their title as one of the last four remaining teams. The double-elimination grand final tournament is set to start on October 8th with the first-seeded Shock facing the second-seeded Seoul Dynasty.
