S1mple Claims Na’Vi Were ‘Completely Unaware Of CS:GO Coaching Bug’
As part of the ongoing investigation into one of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's biggest scandals, 37 coaches were banned for manipulating an exploit allowing a coach to enter spectator mode and reveal the position of their opponents. One of the coaches was Andrey "Andi" Prokhorov, the former coach of Natus Vincere (Na'Vi), who was banned for ten months.
Three members of the current roster would have been present whilst Andi would have been at the organisation, with Egor "flamie" Vasilev, Denis "electronic" Sharipov, and Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev being implicated. The latter has now responded to the investigation, which could filter down to individual players who have benefited from the exploit. The Na'Vi star has backed his team on Twitter, saying that neither himself nor his teammates knew that the bug existed.
It came in response to Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, arguably one of the most recognisable and well-respected names in CS:GO, calling players out for not making public statements regarding the investigation. gla1ve stated: "All players that don't make public statements about them not knowing that their coach cheated is in my opinion guilty in knowing".
Na'Vi's s1mple then responded with his statement, saying "I can say that my team never suspected this bug and did not know that the coach could do this, you have my word".

He later added that this was the case for the "2017 roster", whom would have played under Andi. This was to exemplify players such as Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovacs and Denis "seized" Kostin, rather than current players like Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy.
With ESIC cracking down on coaches and possible players alike, more bans are expected in the future.
