A Rocket League streamer by the alias of "MsDirtyBird" has admitted to faking having cancer to her fans, amongst other lies, after being called out by another content creator in the same circle.

On August 29, a Twitlonger began circulating Twitter by a streamer named "Sworn", in which he branded MsDirtyBird as a "pathological liar". The statement included that the woman had claimed that she has brain and lung cancer, and planned on having a lung transplant following brain surgery to help recover from the deadly disease.

This was followed by allegations that she continued to deceive people with her story, by posting fictional updates of going to hospital.

Sworn continued: "She has not just lied about having cancer, she manifested a whole story and series of events in order to gain sympathy and attention from people and has used that to build the foundation of this so-called "community" that she has made."

Within the allegations, evidence was provided of the streamer saying: "Truth didn't get out, sweetie. I'm still thriving. Even more than I was", after being confronted about the lies prior to the viral post, and an admission within a video that she does not actually have cancer.

With a large mass of confusion circulating, MsDirtyBird herself made an apology video, in which she admitted falsifying having cancer, and a range of other lies, and insisted that she needs a sixth-month minimum hiatus from streaming to focus on her mental health.

Within the video, MsDirtyBird said: "What I did was undeniably f***ed up and should never have happened. I am incredibly sorry for what I did.

"I don't want to be the type of content creator that is known for lying. I did not do it for the attention. I will be taking a step back and hopefully come back as a better person, better content creator."

As a result of her actions, MsDirtyBird has been dropped by her organisation N7, who said "N7 will not allow any kind of conduct or actions that have come forwards from this event."

As to whether MsDirtyBird will return to Rocket League streaming at all is yet to be seen, although a lengthy time away to reflect seems like the best way to begin on a road of redemption.
