Just when things started to settle down, another crazy Grid week and some surprising Regional results shuffle this week’s Power Rankings once again. Let’s see how the teams stack up this time around.

On the cusp:

  • Triple Trouble fall out of the top ten after failing to make stage two of the Regional.
  • Dignitas have endured a dismal few weeks and fall from sixth.
  • Solary remain on the cusp following a mixed Grid performance.

#10: Monkeys (New) - Mittaen / eekso / arju

Monkeys make a surprising debut in this season’s power rankings after a positive couple of weeks. Picking up wins over teams near the top ten such as Magnifico and Libertas secures a first entry for a side still finding their groove with new third arju.

#9: FC Barcelona (+1) - Deevo / Ronaky / Itachi

Following their return to the top ten last week, FCB move up a spot thanks to a quarter-final appearance in The Grid, and a 3-1 advancement from stage one of the Regional. After their early troubles this season, things appear to be taking a turn for the better in Spain.

#8: Oxygen Esports (-4) - Ferra / Chausette45 / AztraL

Since their stage one exit in the first Regional, Oxygen had been slowly making their way up the rankings with some strong Grid performances, which happened again on Thursday when they reached the grand final. However, on Saturday it all came crumbling down as the French side sunk to a 2-3 record after losing to Barrage. With their chances at a major spot all but gone, OXG have some serious work to do.

#7: Team Liquid (+2) - kuxir97 / Speed / fruity

Liquid continue their slow climb up the rankings as they survived the first stage of the Regional. Having reached the playoffs several times in The Grid, Liquid are finally starting to show glimpses of the form that got them picked up by one of esports’ biggest organisations.

#6: Guild Esports (+1) - noly / ThO. / Scrub

Despite not reaching the playoffs of The Grid and barely making it past MINKZ to qualify for stage two of the Regional, Guild go up in the standings thanks to Dignitas and Oxygen’s woeful week. They may be in sixth place, but they’ve certainly got some work to do if they want to secure their spot amongst Europe’s elite.

#5: Endpoint (+3) - Virtuoso / RelatingWave / Metsanauris

Yet another Grid top-four finish for the British organisation leaves Endpoint in a very comfortable fifth place. The former Discombobulators side climb three spots as they continue to display strong performances. However, their current form against the teams above them hasn’t been all that promising. Endpoint need to show that they can beat the top four if they want to join them amongst Europe’s elite.

#4: Top Blokes (+1) - FlamE / Kassio / archie

Top Blokes were finally descending down the rankings following on from their Regional high. Not content with just one strong run, the former Veloce side won The Grid with a dominant performance, taking down Vitality, Endpoint and Oxygen in a stunning playoff run. It was a shaky Regional performance that prevents them from entering the top three, as they barely made it through with a 3-2 record.

#3: Vodafone Giants (+0) - Tox / Zamué / Stake

Giants are in an identical position to last week, barely outside of the top two after yet another strong Grid performance. The Spanish side are quickly proving themselves a force to be reckoned with, and their overtake of BDS is starting to look possible.

#2: Team BDS (+0) - MaRc_By_8. / M0nkey M00n / Extra

It’s a similar story to last week for BDS, as the French side pulled off a very strong run in the Regional to stay ahead of Giants. With the Spanish side now breathing down their backs, BDS need to perform this week, or they’ll slip down outside of the top two.

#1: Renault Vitality (+0) - Fairy Peak / Kaydop / Alpha54

Vitality are the best team in Europe. Nothing else to see here.

As Vitality hold onto the top spot, that wraps up this week’s Power Rankings. Stay tuned to GGRecon for more RLCS X content and next week’s Power Rankings.
