Riot Launches Worlds 2021 Apparel With All Proceeds Going To Charity
Riot Games has officially launched the League of Legends World Championships 2021 merchandise collection, boasting a range of apparel items and plushie teddies. All proceeds will be going directly to their own Social Impact Fund, in partnership with ImpactAssets, which will be distributed to charities that support COVID relief efforts worldwide.
Oh, and everything is 20% off!
The LoL Worlds merchandise features a range of items that will be tailored towards representing the original location for the Grand Final, Shenzhen, China, with Riot admitting they are slashing 20% off all the prices, having not been able to produce a range that can reflect Reykjavík, Iceland.
Just as the opening day of the World Championships comes to an end, Riot has launched the range, which will be on sale until the end of 2021.
The Worlds 2021 collection includes:
- Worlds 2021 Tee (Unisex)
- Worlds 2021 Track Jacket
- Baron Nashor Tee (Unisex)
- Baron Nashor Long Sleeve Tee (Unisex)
- Peony Flight Jacket
- Peony Track Pants
- Women's Cropped Long Sleeve Tee
- MAKE/BREAK Zip-Up Hoodie
- MAKE/BREAK Jade/Bone/Gold Pullover (Unisex)
- Worlds 2021 Floral Mask
- Worlds 2021 Baron Nashor Mask
- Worlds 2021 Tibbers Plushie
- And more...
All proceeds will go directly to charities that have been supporting COVID-19 relief, such as those who offer doctors, nurses, and other frontline workers the resources they need to combat the virus and the families who have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus in the last 18 months.
Having distributed over $13million to charities since its inception, the Riot Games Social Impact Fund will continue supporting families in over 25 regions across the world, with their Worlds 2021 collection being the latest project.
The opening day of Worlds saw LNG Esports take home the spoils in Group A, upsetting the LCK fourth-seed and Play-Ins favourites Hanwha Life Esports, before Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon hit back in their second match versus Infinity.
Worlds 2021 is beginning to find its feet, and maybe a nice Tibbers Plushie will be nice to wipe your tears into if you're an LEC fan... Sorry.
