Resident Evil Player Shares Video Of Why You Shouldn't Shoot The Water
Resident Evil 4 VR was finally released yesterday (October 21), and has received some pretty good reviews so far. Fans who have been playing the newest edition of Capcom’s legendary title have also made some spooky discoveries, including one who has warned us not to shoot the water.
Why Shouldn’t You Shoot The Water In Resi 4 VR?
Well because you were told not to, it’s naughty. However, if that isn’t enough to convince you, and you’re curious about what aquatic problems may arise from doing so, we’ll tell you. In the video posted to the Resident Evil subreddit, user u/BrandonPattillo69 captures exactly what happens when you fire into the murky depths.
If you make your way to the south-east of the Village near the giant lake, you’ll come across a dock and a boat. Fans who have played the game before will know this is where you encounter Del Lago, a Plaga-infected amphibian experimented on by the Los Illuminados cult. If you take the time to pop some shots off into the lake, Del Lago will take the initiative to rise from the water and swallow protagonist Leon Kennedy whole, before 'You Are Dead' flashes on the screen. In short, it’s a bad idea, and you shouldn’t do it, but you now have the knowledge to replicate the horrible death if you want.
What Else Is Going On With The Resident Evil Franchise?
The Resident Evil 4 VR release isn’t the only exciting thing going on with the world-famous zombie franchise, although fans are annoyed that Facebook has reportedly censored parts of the game. Constant murmurs of a Resident Evil 4 remake, following the success of the RE2 and 3 remakes, are being reported. If you want more of your RE4 fix but don’t have VR, the long-awaited RE4 HD mod is nearing completion and is likely to see a full release this year.
There is also the upcoming Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City film that is set to tackle the narratives of the first two games. While the reception on the trailer was mixed, the international trailer was much better received and managed to make the film look completely different.
Resident Evil: Village was also released this year to fantastic reviews for keeping the scary atmosphere of the franchise, while also bringing a modern rendition of the action-horror from RE4. For those who haven’t played the title yet, we have a review available. For those who want a more hands on taste, there is a demo available on PS4 and PS5, and it’s also very cheap as part of the Halloween sale on the PlayStation store.
