The weird and werewolf-riddled world of Resident Evil can be a sometimes odd place, but did you ever think you'd be reading about a game that makes you punch yourself in the boob? To be honest, we never thought we'd be writing about it.

Breasts and the Resiverse have become a strange companion in 2021 - mainly thanks to Lady Alcina Dimitrescu's imposing height, putting Ethan Winters at eye level with her *erm* assets. Now, we're back talking about magumbos for a very different reason. Apparently, the Resident Evil 4 VR port is making some women punch themselves in the breast.

Why Are Some Players Punching Themselves In The Boob?

Posting on Reddit, one female player explained that the recent Oculus Quest 2 port of the 2005 classic has come with an unfortunate problem. She explained that some items are at breast height, which has caused her to jab herself in the baps on several occasions in a moment of panic.

The OP added, "It had me thinking if we are going to continue place items on the chest in vr there might need to be a body size/type choice in the future…cause ow…"

Admittedly, she said the bruises are well worth it to play through the GameCube classic in VR. Considering RE4 has been ported to pretty much every console in existence since its debut, we're surprised it took this long to be remade in VR. On the whole, it's praise across the board for the VR port - which is a shock considering it looked a little janky in its launch trailer. Hey, maybe it's nostalgia shining through?

What Have Others Said About RE4's Boob Punch?

It turns out the boob punch isn't an isolated incident. Responding to the post, someone else said, "Thank you! I was playing RE4 for the first time last night, and I kept reaching above my left boob for the knife until I realized, nope, knife IS left boob. Grab boob = grab knife. Game is great, but big design oversight tho. This is what you get when the playtesting/development/etc is a sausagefest! Nobody thinks of the titties."

There are apparently other problems with RE4 in VR, as it seems Oculus' one size fits all mentality doesn't quite work. Another gamer added, "I've had trouble with the hip holsters too, with my hips being bigger than the model's so I would have to reach inside my legs to grab anything. Plus, I'm not even a particularly big person."

A final comment had us chuckling as someone concluded, "You're not alone. Many males on a diet of Mountain Dew, Hot Pockets and Cheetos also have this problem of boob interference." You can apparently adjust some settings in the back end, while other games are known for having customisable chest depths. Either way, keep your wits (and tits) about you when playing Resident Evil 4 in VR.
