Rebirth Island Glitch Is Letting Warzone Cheaters Go Inside Walls

Those covert Call of Duty cheaters are back at it again with a new Warzone glitch that's allowing players to get inside the walls of Rebirth Island. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launching in 2020, it ushered in a new era of the long-running franchise and promised that the year's other big CoD hitter would be getting a revamp.

Season 1 brought Rebirth Island to the map as the tried and tested staple of Verdansk got some new company. While Warzone has been an unprecedented success since its release in the midst of the global pandemic, there's barely a day that goes by that someone doesn't complain about a new glitch or hack running rife.

From vehicles going out of bounds and crashing matches, to glitching under the prison in Verdansk, we've written about them all. Just weeks ago, a Rebirth Island glitch was letting cheaters go invisible, but now, it's back in a whole new form.

Rebirth Island glitch: How does it work?

Posting on Reddit, u/3Dmo showed off the exploit where sneaky cheaters are able to vanish inside the walls of the illicit Soviet Base. As they made their way around the 40-player map, they were shocked when a hail of bullets came flying out of the scenery. They investigated the situation further and soon deciphered that their assailant was coming from within the walls. The OG poster simply screamed "What" as they were taken out.

Checking the KillCam, it confirmed the cheater was sneaking around in the walls. Added to this, they somehow managed to get an ATV in there as well. The KillCam ended with the cheater hopping in the ATV, however, it's unclear whether they were also able to drive around in the back end of Rebirth Island. While it might be a nefarious way to earn a cheap win, we've got to admit, we're pretty impressed. You might remember when players were glitching into Verdansk to pull of sneaky kills, meaning the issue is something developers have been tackling from the early days of Warzone

Rebirth Island Glitch: Are there more?

Only recently, Jackfrags showed off a video listing everything wrong with Warzone right now. At the top of the list was the introduction of 30 Cold War weapons, with the DMR 14 being called so overpowered, it's ruining the game. Elsewhere, a Call of Duty companion app is revealing everyone stats. That's before we get to the previous issue of invisibility, infinite respawns, and sniper scopes giving no glint.

As well as asking which developer (Infinity Ward, Raven Software, and Treyarch) is currently at the helm of Warzone, Jackfrags suggested Activision needs to hire a Community Manager as soon as possible. With the wall glitch gaining traction, we expect developers will be pretty quick on the uptake in taking it down.

It could be easy to avoid a slippery sniper hiding in the walls, but as the circle shrinks and Rebirth Island aims to crown its victor, someone glitching into the shadows could cause some serious problems. For now, we'd suggest you keep your wits around you more than usual.
