CS:GO legend and three-time major winner pronax recently attended an AMA on Reddit. The historic player and GODSENT co-owner received hundreds of comments on his post. Most of the questions consisted of tips for competing and the state of pronax after his retirement back in 2019. Despite not playing, pronax is still very active in the CS:GO scene being a 21.6% shareholder in GODSENT, a company that is shared with Ludwig Sandgren and Henrik Denebrandt. With a slew of personal issues leading to his retirement, pronax plans on bettering himself while out of the spotlight, taking advantage of his current relaxed position where he can be honest with his colleagues.

PRONAX AMA RESULTS

The AMA started off with players wanting to learn from the best, asking questions about pro-level practice, strats, and all-around teamwork behind the game. Pronax proceeded to admit that most players overcomplicate top-level events. It’s impossible to configure the perfect strats because the outcome of the game is random. Practising and earning playtime is the most important way to learn. Now that doesn’t mean strats are overrated. Teams should always have go-to default plans for pistol or eco rounds. Both are important parts of the game that have huge impacts on a teams economy.

Next came people wanting to learn more about attending events and dealing with cheaters in the competitive community. Pronax reminded people that gaming was a career for him, and the events felt like normal activities. Except for the rush he felt from his first major, the rest was history. As for cheaters, that’s just something he and his teammates chose to ignore. To this day, flusha is seen as Señor Vac and will most likely hold that name until he retires. When it comes to the recent coaching bug scandals, pronax is a big believer in second chances. Feeling the lifetime bans in the game are too far, and the coaches should try and regain trust from others.

Obviously, a handful of GODSENT fans flooded the comments asking how the team was doing, including player salaries, management positions and the team's financial situation. Pronax is extremely open with his team and how they run on an investment scale—admitting that their player salaries are much lower compared to other teams for a good reason. Reminding his fans that GODSENT is not backed by millionaires, It’s simply a growing company that is on its way to becoming profitable. Their roster buyout from SMASH gaming was a big deal due to its expenses, making the purchase one of the largest acquirements GODSENT has ever taken part in.

To end the AMA on a personal level, pronax mentioned how his career choice was bittersweet. One half being loads of fun while the other not so much. Playing CS:GO is tiring and pronax said he’ll never play again while he’s enjoying his management position. Giving him time to relax and finally rest his mind.

WHAT HAS GODSENT ACCOMPLISHED IN 2020

Compared to their 2019 season, GODSENT has had an almost repeat of last year besides playing in a few extra tournaments. That included having the opportunity to play at an S-Tier event which was at ESL Pro League Season 12. Even though they placed fifteenth, it was still a great opportunity to practice with better teams, allowing the mostly B-Tier team to learn from their losses and come up with new strats. The only changes that have been made since purchasing their roster back in 2019 was benching Maikelele for farlig, a lesser-known player who spent two years with the Copenhagen Flames.

GODSENT placed first at the LOOT.BET Season 7 event beating out an ever bigger team known as Gambit Esports. This was their second twenty-five grand finish in 2020 surpassing their earnings from 2019. GODSENT is currently on a steady uphill climb to achieving profits. Farlig has been a worthy pickup while landing in the top two player bracket within his team, usually putting up most of the points for GODSENT across their past two tournaments. Earning a 1.06 player rating within the past three months and helping his team peak at #15 in the world. A great sign of improvement for the young roster.

Pronax and GODSENT have been through a lot of obstacle courses. That being personal issues, roster changes, or a lack of investors. It’s taken years of hard work and dedication to build GODSENT and put pronax in a healthy way of living. Having earned some personal victories in 2020, the org has been gaining tons of traction from those who watch competitive CS:GO. From this point on, pronax only wants to see positive changes within his rosters and multiple victories. To view a championship team through a different field of vision. Instead pronax plans on helping others achieve their personal goals like he did in his early days of gaming.
