Professional Fortnite Player Gifted 2,000 V-Bucks After Epic Incorrectly Ban Him
Banned Fortnite players have a history of succeeding after their controllers are stored away, just ask FaZe Jarvis' right hook. With the right creative mind, many players have been able to make millions of pounds after leaving Fortnite in the past, even the title's biggest stars.
However, one player may have received the best reward yet following their Fortnite ban: 2,000 V-Bucks.
That's right, after being incorrectly banned from Fortnite during the Thanos Cup, one professional player has received 2,000 V-Bucks as a consolation. Not quite a Friday Fight Night payout...
Fortnite Player Incorrectly Banned From Thanos Cup
Swiss Fortnite pro, Noah ‘Noahreyli‘ Rey, had been competing in the Thanos Cup, in a bid to secure the Thanos Outfit and the exclusive Infinite Gauntlet styled Back Bling.
Having been streaming on Twitch at the time, Noahreyli was instantly banned from the game, and subsequently left scratching his head as to why.
Despite the ban being enforced before the Thanos Cup, which is accessible by all players, Noahreyli's reaction clearly had the FNCS All-Star Showdown in the back of his mind, which kicks off in a week's time.
However, Fortnite Community Manager for Competitive, "TheStevieT", revealed to Noahreyli that his ban was "applied by mistake" and that he would "receive a make good" before being able to play again.
Fortnite Devs Offer 2,000 V-Bucks To Wrongly Banned Player
Luckily, the developers fixed this issue whilst the Thanos Cup was still in-play, giving the player a boost in viewership on his stream due to the controversy.
Having been able to continue competing, 9,000 concurrent viewers tuned in to watch him get back to business.
As he booted his stream up, the competitor received the minor apology of 2,000 V-Bucks, which will surely go on a menial in-game skin.
Noahreyli will now be able to compete in the FNCS All-Star showdown with a flashy new outfit, thanks to the impromptu dilemma.
