Powder's Real Identity Was Revealed In Arcane Posters And Nobody Noticed
A really cool Easter egg was recently discovered in a poster for the new Netflix show based in the League of Legends universe - Arcane.
What Is The Easter Egg In The Arcane Poster?
If you're not up-to-date with the show, I would advise that you stop reading now. The Easter egg is a bit of a spoiler, so I won't be offended if you click off now.
The Easter egg was originally found by someone in the Korean community after they studied the first released poster of Arcane, which shows Powder's trademark blue hair, her eye, and the arm of her sister, Violet, cradling her.
As you can see from the side-by-side comparison, her fringe (or bangs, if you're reading this in the USA), spell out the word 'Jinx'. And, as you will now know, it was revealed in the show that Powder grew up to be fan-favourite character, Jinx.
It's one of those where once you see it, it can't be unseen. If you're thinking it might even be so subtle that it's a stretch - the artist behind the poster has confirmed that it was his intention all along. In the comments of the Reddit thread, user RiotPraeco wrote: "Can’t believe that took so long. Our very talented artist Victor Maury did this illustration and also came up with the idea."
What Is Arcane And What Is It About?
The Netflix show has been very well-received by players of League of Legends as well as casual watchers. The official synopsis reads: "Tensions between two cities boil over as new inventions threaten revolution. In Piltover, Hextech democratizes magic, in Zaun, a drug transforms humans into monsters as Arcane brings some of League of Legends’ famous champions to life."
