Following the decline of Among Us, many of the top-profile streamers have turned to VALORANT to pour hours into, whilst conversing with their chat during the lengthy games - including Imane "Pokimane" Anys.

The Twitch sensation has been grinding the FPS shooter since it came out but has recently weighed some more focus towards the title with a lack of variety in the party games genre. Now, she's reached Immortal - VALORANT's second-highest rank boasting the top 0.4% of players - and some viewers simply can't take it that she's good, apparently.

After reaching the rather elite rank, a mouthy portion of Twitch users have claimed that she was "carried" to Immortal, despite previously hitting Diamond on various seasons.

One claim, in particular, has drawn comparisons to Jack "Courage" Dunlop's road to Predator in Apex Legends - widely criticised for playing some games with profound players who have reached those heights before. The Twitter user wrote that it was "double standards" that Poki was praised for reaching Immortal, whilst Courage was ridiculed. However, Pokimane has fired back, claiming that her efforts in solo queue are completely different.

With the claims filling up her notifications, Pokimane hit back at the haters, branding them as "brain-dead".

Speaking on stream, Pokimane said, "imagine having a Twitter account and this is the s**t you have to wake up to."

"Me, minding my business, playing solo queue, and duoing sometimes, like a normal gamer does, sometimes. Me, minding my business, streaming games, in Diamond, in Plat elo. Then I deadass open Twitter, and here, this is the kind of brain-dead s**t I see immediately," she continued.

"I’ve been playing VALORANT since beta. I’ve hit Diamond rank numerous times, have three ranked accounts. You clearly don’t know this because you don’t watch my stream. Yet you have the audacity to call me boosted off a five-second clip of me being scared lmao."

Recently, the popular streamer voiced her opinions on the VALORANT player base and the struggles that women like her face in a game reliant on voice communication, atop of the constant doubters of her ability.

Finally, Poki added, "My aim’s good enough to be at least Diamond so… if you’re going talk sh*t in my chat, don’t be surprised if my mods ban you lmao."

VALORANT's rules on playing with people of a higher elo also squander many of the "boosting" theories, with few ways of actually being boosted by better players. However, you can't please everyone, despite grinding for four acts straight...
