We’re all at least a little connected to Pokemon cards. They swept over playgrounds across the world and dominated youth culture for a period, and whether you were a big playground trader or just watched from the outside - it’s impossible to deny the cultural currency of a shiny Charizard.

Some of us have been able to keep a hold of our collections (I sold mine at a car boot sale like a moron), or have even kept up with new waves of cards, and never stopped.

So we all know how it’d feel if anything would happen to those cars. Well, one TikTok user has weaponised that nauseating anxiety, and utterly punished her boyfriend.

TikTok Pranker ‘Selling’ Fan’s Pokemon Card Collection

TikTok user isabel_vargas98 has uploaded her TikTok that sees her convince her boyfriend that she’s selling his Pokemon card collection to a wall of “too far”s. The video sees her reveal that she posted images on her private Snapchat story for close friends, suggesting that she was selling her boyfriend’s valuable collection of retro Pokemon cards.

The video goes on to see his reaction, and he’s… unhappy.

“You better delete this s**t, dude”, he says to her in a Snapchat message. “That’s worth way more than $200.”

But this reaction isn’t a patch on how he reacts when he thinks she’s sold the collection.

Collector’s Reaction To ‘Sold’ Pokemon Card Collection

Vargas’ follow-up TikTok takes things even further, going so far as to pretend to post the ‘sold’ Pokemon cards and share the results online. Her boyfriend’s response is laden with angry emojis, as you can imagine.

“Bro stop playing with me”, he says to her. “You better get inside that mailbox and look for my package and bring it back before I get home.” Yikes.

It might be a cruel prank, but hey - it made for some great content. The original TikTok has now run 1.8 million views, so even if he’s absolutely seething, she’s got some clout out of it. Still, we can’t help but feel for the guy. Imagine your collection, lost in a moment. Shudder.
