Call of Duty: Vanguard players have been dying to jump into the new Warzone Pacific map, which is due to release later today. However, some Vanguard players have discovered a low-poly version of the new Caldera map. We've gotten a look at some promotional material, but how is the low-poly version shaping up?

It's a sad time for Warzone players, what with the new Pacific map and Vanguard Season 1 being delayed. Not only that, but they've had to bid a teary-eyed farewell to Verdansk for the final time

However, news of the freshly-discovered Warzone Caldera map will definitely cheer fans up. It may not be the complete finished product just yet, but from the looks of things, Caldera promises to be an exciting new addition that will fill the Verdansk-shaped hole in our hearts.

Warzone Caldera Map: How Did Players Unlock It?

Thanks to a spectator cam bug, player JGODYT was able to steal a sneak peek of Caldera while playing in Vanguard's version of the classic Warzone multiplayer map, Shipment. JGODYT then took to Twitter to share his experience with a small clip of him floating through the air above the sandy beaches and busy dockyard of Caldera.

Of course, this isn't the first time a Call Of Duty map has seemingly been leaked ahead of its scheduled release. Ironically, Verdansk was also the victim of being leaked when players managed to use the spectator cam to get a brief glimpse of the new map in 2019. While we have known about Caldera for a while, Verdansk was yet to be announced at the time.

Warzone Caldera Map: When Is It Releasing?

According to the official Call Of Duty Twitter page, Warzone Pacific will be released on December 8 for Vanguard players and December 9 for others. Season 1 of Vanguard will also be released alongside the new map. Fans who are eager to catch an official glimpse of Caldera in all its glory will be treated to a trailer - which is set to be released before the map's drop.

Warzone may not be the newest Call Of Duty game, but it's clear that it's still highly favoured by players, especially with its incredible range of immersive maps. So, if you're looking to book a holiday to the Pacific for the Christmas season, why not save your flyer miles and just wait for the new Warzone map to be released?
