The festive season has sprinkled its magic across Overwatch this year with the Winter Wonderland making its annual arrival. This jolly jubilation will see the fan favourite Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, and Snowball Deathmatch modes return and welcome Freezethaw Elimination into the game with open arms. Alongside the merry mayhem modes, four snow-capped skins will be available to sport, unlocked through a series of weekly challenges.

Freezethaw Elimination comes as a 4v4 brawl in a Search and Destroy-esque style. Players who are unfortunate enough to have been killed will be frozen solid rather than eliminated and can be thawed by teammates bringing them back into the game. The winning team will be decided by freezing all four enemies, so remembering where the action occurred will be vital to success.

The weekly challenges will offer players the change to get their winter mitts on limited-time rewards such as icons, sprays, and four exclusive skins. Winning games across Quick Play, Competitive, and Arcade will grant you new rewards every week.

Winning three games in a week will earn you an icon, six wins will come with a seasonal spray, and the ninth win of the week will gift you a holiday skin. With three weeks of challenges, there will be three skins in total: Elf Junkrat, Gingerbread Ana, and Frosty Roadhog.

Five more legendary skins will be available in the store, including Conductor Reinhardt, Penguin Mei, Ice Empress Moira, Toyboy Zenyatta, and Lumberjack Torbjorn.

Winter Wonderland is underway and will conclude on January 5, so make sure to leave your Christmas shopping until the last minute and cram as much festive fun into Overwatch as possible.
