Despite treading on unknown grounds due to a lack of information on Overwatch 2, Overwatch League teams have started getting their line-ups ready for the fifth season in 2022. For many veterans of the scene, it served as an opportunity for retirement, making room for rookies or still hungry professionals to step up. In order to make sense of this madness, we've collected all the off-season moves in our Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker. As this article will be updated frequently, bookmarking it is an excellent idea to stay on top of things.

Here are all the officially confirmed off-season moves so far, sorted by team for your convenience.

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker-Atlanta Reign

Once more, head coach Sephy has shown his ability to attract top Contenders talent to his team despite a lot of other teams fighting for the top Western prospects. Together with the former American Tornado backline, veteran Nero has joined the ranks of Atlanta as well, hoping to fill Pelican's big shoes.

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker-Boston Uprising

The Uprising seem to have held onto their hybrid roster structure and re-signed both English and Korean speaking players, also appearing to go another season with their Head Coach Seung-hyun "Lori" Kim. With Striker, Marve1, and Crimzo in the mix, the Uprising is certainly looking up in season 5.

Hong-gyu "Faith" Kim
Byeong-ju "Valentine" Kim

Departures

Young-sun"GaeBullSsi" Yun

William "Crimzo" Hernandez

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker -Chengdu Hunters

The Hunters remained confident in their roster and have either re-signed or kept a lot of players on their existing contracts. With a nine-player-strong roster, they might just be done with off-season moves, even though a promotion of their academy team's star player Li "Apr1ta" Yuanjinghao could be expected.

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Dallas Fuel

After a successful fourth season, the Fuel have kept their core and have augmented their roster. According to Assistant General Manager Dear, the Fuel are done with signings for now. With a team of 10 in the 5v5 environment, that statement makes a lot of sense.

Remaining Season 4 roster

Dong-ha "Doha" Kim
Yeong-han "SP9RK1E" Kim
Han-been "Hanbin" Choi
Joon "Fielder" Kwon
Eui-Seok "Fearless" Lee

New signings

Kang "guriyo" Min-seo
Han "ChiYo" Hyeon-seok

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Florida Mayhem

The Florida Mayhem have performed a near tabula rasa, letting go of every one of their once successful season 3 roster. The team is shaping up to become a melting pot of nationalities in the 2022 season as more international signings are expected.

Remaining Season 4 roster

Jun-ki "Yaki" Kim

Departures

Nam-jin "Gangnamjin" Kang
Sung-jun "SLIME" Kim
Beom-jun "Gargoyle" Lee
Min-seok "OGE" Son
Seung-hun "Checkmate" Baek
Sang-bum "BQB" Lee

New signings

Isaiah "Hydron" Rodriguez
Majed "SirMajed" Alrashied

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Guangzhou Charge

The Charge have announced open trials and have curiously once again allowed Westerners to participate. The team has been transparent about their process of trying to find patterns of success throughout the league and have suggested that a relatively low spending strategy that they had employed during season 4 did not yield the results that they hoped for. Whether or not that suggests they will be paying top dollar is unknown, but attracting talent like Develop is a great start for a team with a solid base.

Departures

New signings

Chae "Develop" Rak-hoon
Yoo "Unique" Dong-hyun

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Hangzhou Spark

A rather disappointing season lies behind the Spark, and yet we haven't seen fundamental changes. Now running open trials, it feels like they might be late to the off-season. Strong reinforcements are likely to to have to come from the Chinese scene as a lot of the top picks have already been picked up by other teams at this point.

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Houston Outlaws

It's hard to see how the Houston Outlaws won't be one of the winners of the off-season, having gotten important parts of season 4's runner up Atlanta Reign in Pelican and Ir1s. With technically a fully functional team signed at this point if JAKE was to stay, they can lean back and grab 1-3 more talents, with an additional support and a tank player capable of playing main tanks as a likely transfer target going forward.

New signings

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - London Spitfire

Only a lonely SparkR remains from the once highly anticipated British Hurricane roster which came to the Overwatch League. While Shax is keeping him company, new head coach ChrisTFer will likely have to deal with one of the smaller budgets in the league to build out his team. Is there enough talent in the West left once the major players are done grazing at the greenest pastures or will the team have to scout in other regions too and erect a language barrier?

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Los Angeles Gladiators

Sheesh, that's a stacked line-up. Building upon a great foundation from the season 4 core, the recruitment of ANS, Reiner, and Funnyastro communicates an intent and sends a notice to the rest of the league: The Gladiators have once again come to play for the trophy. For the first time in its franchise history, it starts into the season without their perennial head coach David "Dpei" Pei. Can the new staff deliver?

New signings

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Los Angeles Valiant

While rumours have it that the Valiant are spending and not let their franchise slot value completely depreciate, we haven't seen much evidence in terms of signings yet. Being this late to the off-season doesn't bode well for the franchise, even if they were willing to invest more with the start of Overwatch 2

Departures

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - New York Excelsior

While there's nothing official on paper, the rumoured names suggest an incredibly strong New York Excelsior in season 5. As soon as official announcements hit the social feeds, we'll of course update the Overwatch League 2022 Off-season tracker.

Remaining Season 4 roster

Lim "Flora" Young-woo

Departures

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Paris Eternal

The Eternal punched above their weight and performed a small miracle. Next season, they appear to have to do it again with a similarily small budget and an in all likelihood even stronger region, though granted the expected soft-reset of talent through Overwatch 2 could help them out. The team has said that it wants to stay flexible in the transfer market and it has given them the opportunity to sign head coach JMAC's old teammate Glister who should be considered a massive signing for the Eternal.

Departures

New signings

Lim "Glister" Gil-seong

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Philadelphia Fusion

Philly, where art thou? Retaining Carpe and Alarm is a strong first step but the departure of everyone else has the Fusion in a position in which not too much top talent is left. However, according to other rumours, the Fusion are getting a couple of heavy hitters which may be unexpected given the insight the public has at this point. Don't fret just yet, Philly fans! MN3 and ZEST are certainly no slouches.

Departures

New signings

Yoon "MN3" Jae-hee
Kim "ZEST" Hyun-woo

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - San Francisco Shock

The reports were true - the Shock did manage to sign half of O2 Blasts star-studded roster including crown jewel Proper. Together with Crusty and NineK teaming up again, they've become one of the favourites for the winners of the off-season.

Departures

New signings

Jung "Kilo" Jin-woo
Kim "Proper" Dong-hyun
Oh "FiNN" Se-jin

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Seoul Dynasty

The Dynasty catapulted themselves into the off-season with a bang, making decisive moves around their veteran players and only keeping the ProFits duo as well as Creative. Other than promoting their DPS talent Stalk3r, the team also brought on some of the best players of Overwatch 1 in their role to the team. Let's hope their veterans can sail smoothly into Overwatch 2 as well because on paper this team is stacked.

New signings

Jeong "Stalk3r" Hak-yong
Yoo "Smurf" Myeong-hwan
Bang "Jjonak" Seong-hyun
Park "Vindaim" Jun-woo

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Shanghai Dragons

Can you say you won an off-season by having potentially the best roster of all time simply stay together? There really wasn't too much need to make changes other than potentially cutting more fat than they have done. Was that it for Shanghai during the off-season or will they pick up another player or two to develop over the season?

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Toronto Defiant

The recruitment of Twilight hit the community out of left field. Could the Toronto Defiant finally be a serious top team contender? At least the contract sizes suggest as much. The last couple of pickups will be crucial for the team in the coming weeks. They have certainly missed out on some top tier talent like Yaki and Proper.

Departures

New signings

Choi "Hotba" Hong-joon
Kim "MuZe" Young-hun
Seong "CH0R0NG" Yoo-min
Lee "Twilight" Joo Seok

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Vancouver Titans

While the Titans appear to be willing to spend, the organisation's movements over the last two years hasn't exactly made players want to play for the team. Are they once again going to be left with the scraps?

Departures

Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker - Washington Justice

The Justice had a decent season 4 and has stayed within its own projected standing. Bringing Happy and Vigilante into the team should fix some of the issues the team had seen this year. Krillin is a bit more unexpected but not outrageously so.

New signings

Lee "Happy" Jung-woo
Jeong "Krillin" Young-hoon
Kim "Vigilante" Joon

That's the full list of off-season moves as they officially stand so far. Keep up to date with the Overwatch League 2022 Off-Season Tracker to stay on top of this hectic time of the Overwatch esports year.
