Gaming Parent Goes Viral Over ‘Chaotic’ Overwatch Gameplay
Overwatch is notorious for having a completely unique playstyle, that from the outside appears to be complete pandemonium, but from the inside, it's only chaotic.
With a huge agent pool and a broad spectrum of flashy antics and abilities, Overwatch's colourful nature and futuristic vibes often have gamers on the edge of their seats whilst playing. Especially when times are tough, and the trademark forward-lean comes into action.
This is nothing compared to a gaming dad who physically lives and breathes every movement that his heroes take, hopping around his gaming set up like a lunatic. Going viral through Twitter, the man with a frosted moustache and snow-capped silver hair often dodges opponents with his physical body as well as on the WASD sticks, even leaning in his chair to peek corners and frantically bounces around when the action is rife.
Having no idea that he was being filmed, the gaming dad exhaled to catch his breath after a heart-racing competitive exhibition and exclaimed: "ooh that was fun". Realising he was caught on camera, the embarrassment was swallowed with overwhelming pride of his performance, adding "Top four finish!" to his earlier cries of "Oh no".
With the tweet now racking up nearly 800,000 views (as of writing), support has flooded in from social media. Twitch streamer "Adept" - also known for being roommates with superstar Felix "xQc" Lengyel - reached out to offer the parent a state-of-the-art headset. She commented saying "Very cool, thanks for sharing. Let me know if he wants a new Turtle Beach headset. Also, I can't wait to teach my dad how to play Overwatch now".
His manic style is not without cost, though. As "SaltyFreeman" states "This is chair# 4, the carpet under him is completely ripped up, and in the video, you can see light marks on his desk where the chair has dented it".
It's the price to pay for a good time, though. Keep slaying, pops.
