Of Course Game Pass Players Are Having Problems With Marvel’s Avengers
Marvel’s Avengers, by all accounts, should have been perfect for Marvel fans. Finally becoming one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and smashing goons to bits seems like an absolute dream, but the game’s launch was rocky. And that's putting it lightly.
Many fans were underwhelmed by the performance of the game, and though Kamala Khan’s addition to Marvel's Avengers offered a refreshing look at the heroes, the limited press coverage of her pre-launch made fans feel misled.
The game landed on a wonky footing on launch, and it’s struggled to keep itself supported even despite the launch of the War For Wakanda DLC. As the tormented title comes to Game Pass, new players are still discovering some problems
Xbox Game Pass Users Struggling To Download Marvel’s Avengers
You might be thinking all the problems associated with Marvel’s Avengers are buried in the game itself, but according to disgruntled players, many are having trouble even getting the game installed. There are reports of trouble when downloading the game, with one user stating that the game installs about 10-15GB worth of the game before it stops and restarts.
The download problems are occurring on Xbox One mostly, so there could be trouble crossing the wires after the game’s next-gen upgrade - but some players in a Reddit thread are suggesting that similar problems are occurring on the Xbox Series X|S.
Adding insult to injury, neither Xbox nor Crystal Dynamics has said anything on the matter.
What Could Be Causing Marvel’s Avengers’ Download Problems?
Optimistically, it could be a matter of too many people trying to download Marvel's Avengers that has caused the download issues. It’s hard to know for sure, as the inner workings of how Game Pass works is knowledge exclusive to Microsoft. There's every chance that servers haven’t been able to keep up with high demand.
In most cases, players have been waiting for something like Game Pass to bring out Marvel’s Avengers, as after middling reviews arose at launch, Marvel fans have been unwilling to pay full price for the title. Xbox Game Pass is their chance to get it played, and it looks like too many people have had the same idea.
It might sadly be some time before a fix comes around since Microsoft and Crystal Dynamics are currently avoiding mentioning the problems - but fingers crossed it gets ironed out eventually. After all, Marvel’s Avengers has suffered more than enough already.
